2) also, the other guy just always sitting there with his marketable expression going "yeah, dick, that's right", "i've never really thought of that, dick", "you were saying, dick?", just this constant reasuring nodder, fairly fit too, just a pretty chad for the wannabe-man-men out there who is also dicks cuck, i can't believe the torture this guy has to go through, literally working out his body just to go and get yell at and just take it, that guy must have ptsd or something, is there anything weird in his life that we know about? How does one become such a person?

Dick and Sean are old friends, with Dick and Sean's younger brother being in high school together and according to Dick Sean used to get them alcohol. Sean's irl job is as a sound technician in recording studios, so he clearly treats this like another gig (theres been several times where Dick expresses mock frustration that Sean never listens to the shitty fan music people make about him), and has been on board since the TBITU days. He actually used to be the sound guy for both Dick and Maddox's show but quit Maddox's show for probably the same reason Asterios did (Maddox allegedly made an ultimatum that they either work only for Maddox or they're no longer friends).

Sean's irl life is pretty nondescript, because like a normal person, he doesn't get into it or pretend that he's some sort of chad. All we really know is he has a girlfriend, is also an uncle to his younger sibling's kids (like Dick), but unlike Dick, has been a teetotaler for several years. The only thing he's passionate about on the show is treating depression, which is only because it's something he's dealt with first hand. (There's been several episodes where Dick and Sean have arguments about this, where Dick of all people is against taking drugs to treat depression).

Now that I've had to think about Sean for any long span of time, does anyone else get the feeling that Dick is lying about why he was banned from entering Australia? I know he said it was some fuck up by a travel agent over work visas and he got blacklisted in the wake of Brenton Tarrant, but I'm getting the feeling it might be something else. After all, Sean, who while not as prominent, could easily be classified by any average government intelligence officer as part of this supposedly extremist show, nonetheless got into the country, and was even able to set up some Road Rages despite not having a worker's visa.

1) He’s a fairly severe alcoholic, though seemingly a more functional one than Ethan. He’s also said he does hallucinogens. He claimed that he was on acid when the lawsuit verdict came in, and during the Onision interview. Never heard anything about meth but coke wouldn’t surprise me.

2) All I know about Sean is his IRL job, that he’s worked with Mark Hamill through it, that he’s been friends with Dick since high school, and that he’s a recovering alcoholic. He’s there to be a straight-man because unlike Josh or PPP he can’t do an entertaining show by himself. Considering their history he maybe has some codependent shit with Dax, but I don’t know.

Heavy use of LSD, coke, alcohol. Significant prior use of DMT. There was a bit about cocaine earlier in the show’s history (it was referred to as “crosswords” so you can search that in the early transcripts if you care. He recorded a video of himself at burning man on LSD after some shit with Maddox happened, so that video could be in the Maddox thread. He also claimed to have, in college, bought a shitload of DMT before it was made illegal in California.

Does Dax admit to drinking before every show? I’ve been looking for an explanation for why he’s so insufferable but if it turns out he’s just an obnoxious drunk, well, how pathetic.

Dax has described Adderall as being amazing for going out and talking to people on then gave a whole speech how he can charm any woman all night on Adderall. JLH talked how Dax fed her drugs to keep her around. Dax tried to insult her by saying she was an Adderall addict. Dax has drug dealers that get prescription drugs for him as Dax has mentioned on earlier podcasts he is listed by his insurance company and doctors and having drug seeking tendencies.

Sean wouldn't have needed a visa to visit Australia. Dick only needed one because he was collecting money in the country for the events and would have needed to pay taxes on the proceeds to the Australian government which puts him in a different category. Sean wasn't collecting money inside Australia and US citizens can still conduct limited business activities for a US-based company without a visa.

Dax is an immature dipshit and thoroughly repellent. It’s a testament to Sean’s good nature that he puts up with him, but it’s not like he’s working for free. And it says a lot about Dax’s fans that they want to be his friend so badly.
