Why did I click this?

I start watching and immediately June just says "How do you go backwards? How do you go from believing in socialism to being a neocon?"

June, have you never heard the saying "if you're rightwing when you're young, you have no heart. If you're left wing when you're old, you have no brain"? It's not moving "backwards", it's the opposite. Socialism is the regressive childish ideology that we abandoned in the 20th century. Capitalism is the economic policy of today.
June is a moron who doesn't know her history.

Neocons are creatures of the left, former anti-Stalinist socialist/Trotskyites and foreign interventionists (hawks) who are also rabid supporters of Israel (i.e. Zionists). That's one reason why they supported the Democrat Soviet Hardliner Scoop Jackson's presidential campaigns. They weren't in stop with the non-interventionist policies of the Left during/after Vietnam. Neocon "Never Trumper" Bill Kristol created The Weekly Standard to promote their views. Bush Jr campaigned on non-interventionist foreign policy but after 9/11 they convinced him to adopt their policy positions e.g. Project for a New American Century. Everyone knows the disaster that followed... One thing about the Neocons is they fail their way to the top.

There have always been people on the right ("paleoconservatives") like Pat Buchanan that have always opposed the Neocons as nation builders and imperialists. Tucker Carlson routinely slams the neocons on his show. A good example of the difference between the two groups is the infamous interview Tucker did with Neocon Max Boot. These people are obsessed with Russia and Israel.

Trump, and his "America First" policies fly in the face of Neocon ideology, that's why they hate him so much and with their roots as leftists they have easily found their way back to supporting Democrats. Neocons are literally known as the leftists who went to the right (and now have gone back again). When Obama was elected Bill Kristol and friends created the Foreign Policy Initiative to try and influence his administration in regards to doing anything they think will benefit Israel.

Like I said, June is a moron.

You had that luxury too you just threw it in the trash to start a crusade.

true. Guilty as charged. I jumped headfirst and naively, fueled by an ego built on delusions.
Believing there could be no possible outcome of failure. I paid dearly for it. And you are welcome to judge and mercilessly mock me for it.

But honestly, I would probably do most of it again. Even if that sounds arrogant to you, it is not, it's a conclusion out of genuine experience. It resulted in the death of what was a community built on lies.
It taught me to think before I act online. It taught me how to take jokes. It showed me how most online personalities will screw you over for a quarter and a half. It gave me the opportunity to rebuild what had been broken.
It deluded alt-right and other grifting YouTubers into believing that making Drama content would bring them success and ultimately burn them on the egos that fueled that delusion. I rediscovered my love for reading books.
It gave me an opportunity to relax and rethink what I want here. It made me appreciate the advice of my regular non-e-celeb audience members over the often selfish and double motivated "advice" of other e-celebs.
I learned to accept getting "defeated" in online confrontations and that they do not matter as much as an e-celeb would want you to think. I learned to put my efforts into building content made with my expertise and what I actually know - rather than artificially inflating my ego to charm people into believing me no matter what I say. It taught me to not talk and pretend to be an expert on topics I know little about.
But most importantly in my opinion - I realized that I had fallen for and followed a charlatan for two years, and that I should never put my trust in any ego-driven e-celebs again. Most other content creators I talk to now, are history and mechanics YouTubers, about the work process, writing, and research, rather than "online battle tactics" as I would have 3 years ago.

That's what I take from it. Hard lessons learned the hard way.

@Kraut Bruh just make an anon troll account lmao.
No. My drama taught me to never pretend to be someone else and put my name under what I do and what I believe. I posted on this forum before my Drama btw, many YouTubers do.
All of them pretending to be anons. I decided to no longer do that.

@KrautSeriously though interesting to hear your deeper thoughts on the situation.
I see Vaush as the Sargon of leftwing youtube. He lacks expertise in anything. I would be surprised if he could even read more than 40 pages of a book without snoozing off into boredom and starting up a videogame. His channel is built on the artificial character of Vaush, not on what Vaush actually knows. It is built on ego. There are many examples in which he embarrasses himself by talking about something and then realizing he doesn't know what he is talking about and quickly switching topic. It is the way of doing youtube by pretending to know everything while in fact not knowing much, never admitting to ever being wrong, but hoping that the personality you act out will convince the audience otherwise. It's effective in building a quick audience. But it is also a trap, as you can never have a conversation with an actual educated person on the topic you speak of. And all it takes for it all to crash and burn, is a confrontation with a bigger, more determined, and more charismatic, inflated ego. It is almost funny how the same people who fell for Sargon and the charm of his artificial online character, such as Shoe, TJ, ChrisRayGun, Layman, Anthony Fantano, Armoured Skeptic, and co. are now also falling for Vaush, but it will make sense when you compare the two. They are a mirror image of each other. Smug chuckles, pompous presentation of self, constant pretending of being an expert on everything, saying little with as many words as possible, never admitting to being wrong on anything, delusions of having actual political influence, proclamations of leading an actual real political movement, very lazy process of making content, bullying people on his side for even the slightest disagreement, arrogant dismissing of critics through personal attacks and jabs, taking over a community that he had no part in building, the list goes on.... He is just a charlatan, and people who fall for charlatans and refuse to learn from the experience will fall for the next charlatan.
I believe Vaush's channel will continue to grow dramatically. I would not be surprised if he reaches a million subscribers. But it is built on the same soft foundation as Sargon built his channel and can come crashing down when his ego is challenged, when he oversteppes by starting to believe his own delusions, goes into real world politics, or when the winds of public opinion turn to the political right. And if that happens, I guarantee you that shoe will have left his side long before, to try and join with whatever bigger ego challenged Vaush. I don't know how much of what Shoe now says she even believes. Because it is literally impossible to say. The transformation from being closest friends with Lauren Southern and being praised by Metokur as "the good skeptic who stays in her lane" in 2018, into being a new favorite fixture of breadtube is frankly astonishing and honestly also impressive. But it also means that people with memories will not believe whatever she has to say now, or at least question her sincerity. Interesting to me was that when I tweeted negatively about her a few months ago, I instantly was swarmed in DMs by left-leaning friends, ganging up on me demanding to make peace with her. I expect some may have had a similar experience. She seems to have been welcomed in the leftwing youtube sphere and embraced. But she would have never pulled it off without Vaush.
After my Drama I was privately contacted and I myself contacted "SJW" youtubers who I had fights with in the past, to make peace and move on from past conflicts. There was animosity but also a little of respect expressed due to the fact that I had decided to take that stance against the alt right despite the sacrifices it meant for me, and it was that which I believe contributed to me making peace with them, and being able to move on to doing what I do now, despite my continued disagreements with them. I had expected that when the "Anti-SJW" grift came to its eventual end, all the people I was once associated with would have to go through the same, but because of their failure to ever critique the far right, far more grueling experience. But Vaush basically appeared as a catholic priest to take meaningless confessions to nothing.
When you look at shoes content and compare it to the pre-breadtube content, you will notice that it really has not changed at all. It is still very much the same, in the same format, with the same talking points, and the same style and also with mostly the same targets. That was very interesting to me, because I started noticing that there were more and more low quality drama streamers like a guy called "ChudLogic" appearing amongst breadtube, who reminded me a lot of smaller channels in the "skeptics" like Cognitive Thought and Charmingman. And I think it indicates that this wider leftwing community that she is now part of is simply starting to undergo the same process that the "skeptics" underwent in 2016, when they just welcomed anyone and everyone who would at least superficially espouse their talking points on occasion. I'm wondering if there will be a breadtube version of bearing, Undoomed, Aydin Paladin, Veeh, Academic Agent, Armoured Skeptic, and co appearing there soon. And if it will just like the "skeptics" be crashed into a concrete wall at 300 miles an hour by a breadtube version of myself lol. Maybe the ride never ends.

Don't expect me to make a video on this or openly jump into this on youtube. The few tweets and public comments I make are more like almost a remnant thing. I am trying to leave this part of the internet behind, but it is like trying to push yourself out of a swamp, and I have to fight with myself and others to get out. I will be eventually making videos on other YouTubers again. But detached. And in what I hope to be a comedic way. About really scummy people, people who defraud viewers with gofundme scams and other such shit. And not people with who I have interpersonal gripes.

@KrautBest of luck with whatever you decide to do.
You too. Have a nice day. And best of luck in whatever your endeavors may be.

I'm almost afraid to hear whatever June's retarded take on Kenosha Kyle will be. Something Vaush adjacent no doubt, but how far will she go? Far enough to alienate the remaining centrists in her audience who were dumb enough to buy her "I'm not a commie guys, I just like them now" act?

The thing about June is that unlike Vaush or these other far left internet personalities, she doesn't have much of a protective fan bubble. Her comments and replies are always full of people who disagree with her and if she goes full Self Defense Boy Bad she's going to be drowning in backlash. And none of her new breadtube "pals" ever bother to defend her.

Wait, did I say I'm afraid to hear her response? Because after thinking about it I'm actually hyped. She'll probably just avoid it like the coward she is though.

Uh oh.

That former friend that June threw under the bus a long time ago, the one that today is objectively better put together, more successful (in re: both family and career) and frankly more interesting in every way, is dunking on New Daddy Dick

@Kraut Great comparison of the skeptics with breadtube, it's like a mirror image of 2014 but with a red flag stapled to it. As much of a sperg as you've been in the past it's cool to see you've achieved what many of your old peers will probably never achieve - a sense of humility. It will be a shame to see you go since you are still a boogyman that makes a lot of z-list e-celeb capos seethe with rage whenever you are mentioned, they genuinely think you hide behind every rock plotting against them. If you ever decide to jump back into the arena go full darth vader on them.

One of the many disgusting moments:
I have a principle that I've inherited from my mother, where we don't relish the death of someone, no matter their crime. We can want them dead, but we won't celebrate it. Watching my mother find it distasteful for people to celebrate Osama Bin Laden's death (despite it being justified, mind you!) inspired me to adopt that principle.

This... this is borderline sociopathic. Essentially giving a, "Fuck you, you're politicizing his death and he was a cop." I'm not one to be easily disgusted, but this makes me nauseous to listen to. These are the same people that say that everything is political, and that everything has to be analyzed through a political lens. While I'm not one for politicizing a death, this does have political ramifications in regards to how we police our communities, how we approach law enforcement, and the powers of the state and federal government. So yes, his death was political due to the fact that it happened due to the riots. This is political even by their standards, but because he was a cop protecting property (neglecting that people were being assaulted), his life doesn't matter and his death is not political. The fact that June associates with these types of people tells me all that I need to know about her.
