So... do you guys think things will start calming down or are we finally at the point where the cycle-of-revenge-political assassinations start regularly occurring?

it'll stay the same or get worse. there's no reason for it calm down since no one is calling for martial law, flooding the state with troops or just telling the cops to arrest everyone hanging out past curfew.

To be fair, we think antifa is trash and I'm sure I'm not the only one who was happy when Kyle killed his assaulter. They and us, we're probably equally heartless. We just see the world differently: feels over reals versus reals over feels.

The difference you seem to ignore is that Kyle killed his assaulters, people who were trying to harm him, possibly even killing him. This was- as far as we know as of now just a person being murdered in cold blood for reasoning based in misinformation.

That man has family who probably haven't been notified of his death yet. These people are the worst. They don't even know who he is, what he believed, why he was there, or what he did. Without knowing the first thing about him, they've utterly dehumanized him, and they're reveling in his death in order to cause others pain. They're the worst people I can imagine. Their cruelty is limited only by their inability to enact it in real life.

I needed something to cleanse the taint of their evil from my mind. The brief fox talk reminded me of this:
I'm sure in a few days, if not hours, you'll start seeing an argument along the lines of "wow you care about his death, but not the protesters Kyle killed?", along with "so what Kyle did was self-defence, but it isn't self-defence when a fascist is killed?", regardless of any extra details we learn about this shooting. Because of the simple fact that in both cases, someone was killed, there will be a lot of false equivalences being made. Which is a term leftists love to use a lot themselves, because frankly a lot of their accusations are projection.

That really is the question. This is the moment where the men are separated from the boys, or in ANTIFA's case, the xir's are seperated from the unicorn kin. It's up to them and whether they have the type of useful idiots willing to go full Weatherman. I think they have those types in their ranks, but they have lost favor. Even Dems are beginning to condemn the riots. A push into the suburbs got several shot. BLM approval is tanking. I honestly can't portend until more info about this murder in Portland is more fleshed out.

I think that death is a good equalizer, everyone is equal in the eyes of the grim reaper, everyone will die at some point, and no matter who you were, you deserve some kinda rest even if your horrible, or terrible, or just the worth, everyone deserves the equal respect.

I think shitting on not only someones death, but openly laughing at the death of someone, in public, in broad daylight, on twitter for all to see is not only beyond disrespectful, but also speaks profoundly on what they truly stand for, and what they stand for is utter disrespect

We also know that Kyle's assaulters were rather bad people and their actions demonstrated they were a continuing threat to the community. That didn't come out right away. It took some research. But the willingness to do research and evaluate evidence is one of the things that sets us apart from them. They will accuse someone of being a Nazi or fascist and take their life or destroy their livelihood for no reason at all.

Incidentally, the Arizona prison system has scrubbed Joseph Rosenbaum's record. I think that was the last publicly available record of his sex offense conviction. It was archived and the link has been posted in this thread a couple times.

Part of me feels like some in Antifa have a conscience, and another part feels like they haven’t fully bought into the propaganda of war yet.
