It's nowhere near October, but one ensemble is already on track to be named the most controversial Halloween costume of 2015.

Social media users were out in full force on Monday criticizing several Halloween retailers for offering a Caitlyn Jenner costume reminiscent of the former-athlete's Vanity Fair cover earlier this year.

While Jenner's supporters condemned the costume as "transphobic" and "disgusting" on Twitter, Spirit Halloween, a retailer that carries the costume, defended the getup.

"At Spirit Halloween, we create a wide range of costumes that are often based upon celebrities, public figures, heroes and superheroes," said Lisa Barr, senior director of marking at Spirit Halloween. "We feel that Caitlyn Jenner is all of the above and that she should be celebrated. The Caitlyn Jenner costume reflects just that."

How privileged must a person be to get angry at teeny tiny "work out" stickers on a banana? I didn't notice those on my bananas, they're so small. Not to mention, the "work outs" are so cartoony that it took me a second to even realize what I was looking at was a "diamond pushup" or "sumo sqaut". Either way, I don't see how this is promoting "diet culture"... aren't HEAS activists the ones who always say that obese people can workout fine? Is this lady implying that obese people can't do a push up? That sounds fat phobic to me

I mean, my 10-year-old daughter eats these bananas. What kind of message is that sending to her?

What 10 year old gives a shit? She either wouldn't even notice the sticker, or if she did, she would just look at it and go "huh" before peeling the banana and eating it. Christ, these people really are spoiled if this is what upsets them.

I'm buying more bananas just to spite her... because I AM trying to lose weight (and it's working, down one pants size and 40 lbs) and my doctor specifically said I should try them not only as a healthier alternative to typical junk-food snacks, but because my potassium levels are a bit lower than they should be and if I could stomach a small bunch of them a week, I might be able to fix that without having to take a med/supplement. Two birds.

When I saw the title, I assumed we had a Karen-tier kinesiologist or nutritionist taking some hyper-exceptional stance on a sticker that said the banana had slightly more/less calories than it did, or was promoting some "easy things you can do at home" that actually aren't good for your knees if you've got THIS little preexisting condition.... and it's even STUPIDER.

It's someone triggered by..... a picture of someone exercising.
