Five to ten years to live. In my experience, cancer prognosis are scary accurate; and the error tends to be on the dying earlier side. Especially for a smoker. Man, this fucking sucks.

Chemo and raditation treatments fucking suck and drain all energy and life out of you. That is not to mention all the stress from the testing phases where "it may or may not be cancer".The average life expectancy of someone after diagnosis of indolent lymphoma is 12-14 years. I think Daddy Jim will be fine at least for now. I won't excuse his laziness just yet.
When people find out you have/had cancer it often brings out attention the person who has it doesn't want, and people start to treat you differently (understandably) but some times you just want people to treat you like normal, the sympathy and the like can be demoralizing as it reminds you of what is going on. Jim is "haha watch the world burn with me" online maybe he wanted it to be a place of refuge (of people shit posting at/to him at least until it was confirmed.I wish he would have just said he's sick earlier. By this diagnosis I'm tempted to think he's perhaps older than people think. Still don't understand why he didn't say something so people would leave him alone about streaming, but I hope he beats it. No wonder he's doomering. He's high risk and has serious medical issues.
DSP is gonna out live Jim. The absolute state of DSP detractors.
Daddy Jim memes aside, I do hope he pulls through. Sucks that he isn't up for streaming during these wild times, but his twitter commentary on the state of things is a good bit of fun and I support the decision to focus on his own health and well-being over getting paid a thousand dollars to read the same coof jokes over and over.
NNRU.
He's spent years joking about getting lung cancer due to his smoking, and now it's come true? The hard part is when doctors give you the wait and see and then the death sentence diagnosis. I've been fired from shitty jobs that made me feel like not getting out of bed for a week. I can only imagine having to deal with something like that.
Chemo is going to be rough and he's not going to feel like do anything for a while. I wish Jim long life if it's in the cards for him, and hope he spends his life doing what he loves with the people he loves.
He announced he had a cancer-related autoimmune disease years ago now.@Null Since we don't have literally any other happenings on the front page, can we put this up?
Completely understand that. No one wants pity. I was thinking more he could just have said he's dealing with irl stuff so there won't be content for a while. People probably still would have badgered him, but at least people wouldn't have thought he was Spoony 2.0.When people find out you have/had cancer it often brings out attention the person who has it doesn't want, and people start to treat you differently (understandably) but some times you just want people to treat you like normal, the sympathy and the like can be demoralizing as it reminds you of what is going on.
