That...actually makes sense. In my totally scientific group of a whopping 1 person I know who supports Antifa for what it actually is (anchro-communism and he told me when there were BLM protests at his state's capital he hoped they burn it down the capital building), his family fucked off to Asia (one of his parents is some high in demand person in the power industry) for work, he was left alone and even as a minor from what I am told by people close to him, his parents didn't really interact with him. A few years back he tired to off him self with pills, and that was just as his parents were back for a new job in his state. They took a sudden interest in his well being after that. I hope they still do.
Some people (on all sides) forget that although sterotypes tend to be there for reasons, people are still individuals who may defy the sterotypes, a former coworker of mine (who sadly was murdered) grew up in the Detroit ghetto, and although he was a bit rough around the edges he was a good nurtured person who just was trying to live the best life he could and try and get him and his mother out of the ghetto (though honest work) which he did shorty before he was murdered.
