Jerry Peet / Lily Orchard / Lily Peet / Valkyrstudios / Bhaalspawn / Tara Callie / "Mod Ebara" - Sociopath writer of pedophile fanfiction and cartoon reviews, faked getting raped to force a divorce, then mobbed and gaslit their ex off Tumblr, satanist neoliberal of the MovieSlob variety, also wants to fuck dogs and/or pokemon

Lilly's priorities in writing remind me of that 'House of Night' book series that came about around the Twilight craze. You know, one of those many shitty bargin bin romance novels bending Vampire lore over the table and fucking it raw. Incestuous overtones, protag is a terrible person who only gets rewarded, repetitive 'Uwu, so cute!' scenes, mary sue bullshit and, of course, practically no actual story (20 chapters of the characters doing nothing and then suddenly the climax shows up). I'd say Lilly would have loved it, but the main character is straight... Even if I'm pretty sure one of the authors was so deep in the closet they would fall into Narnia.
Yeah, if the main character was a lesbian, Lily would've probably stanned that book series to hell and back.
Zoe Redbird is lazy, judgemental, self-entitled, a slut, and a massive hypocrite, who has the solution to all her problems literally handed to her by the vampire goddess because she's just that speshul and chosen. She's also one of those 1/16th Cherokee people and she hates both her parents and her siblings for incredibly petty reasons.
She's practically one of Lily's self-inserts

She'd probably even consider the books good gay representation, since two of the main character's friends are a male gay couple who constantly talk about nothing how gay they are.
That is, if she actually gave a fuck about anything other than lesbians.

Yeah, if the main character was a lesbian, Lily would've probably stanned that book series to hell and back.

Don't forget lesbians only count if Jerry, a straight man LARPing as a Native American woman, decides they do. Usually only conventionally attractive women in their early 20's chastely kissing and calling each other "girlfriends".

Reading again that anon that is justifying why Sylavannas is so important for Liliana, I noticed there was that parragraph about how people fantasize about killing her. I have no idea from where does that come from. If Liliana recieved any messages like that, she never published them. Here I haven't seen such thing. Neither on any social media where she is being mentioned. The only messages I'm aware of where someone wants to degrade Liliana and have fantasies with her are those horny ones she happily follows along with anyway.

Ah, I guess that makes sense. It's less about the character themselves than the idea of the character, and being able to identify with that idea. When you write your fanfic you aren't really thinking about the character as much as projecting yourself into them because some superficial identifier (or some desire to be associated) encourages you to write your personal fantasies regardless of whether it makes sense in the world and with the characters you've chosen. Since I was thinking about Harry Potter I also got to thinking about those fanfics where Hermione has to be saved from an abusive marriage with Ron by Harry (who is leaving his own loveless marriage to Ginny, who is inevitably a slut). I always wondered why people even liked Hermione in the first place if they didn't think she would hex the shit out of Ron if he suddenly turned violent (and if she's supposed to be so smart and strong, why is she so easily cowed by a character they think is weak and stupid?).

With the context of tying one's identity in the characters, though, that makes a lot more sense. It's not about Hermione actually getting out of such a relationship, it's about becoming the smartest girl in school who's different from The Other Girls and ostracized and misunderstood but winds up proving herself to be so much better than them, and then living out a fantasy where you're swept away and cared for by a famous, suddenly hot, and ludicrously wealthy but also sensitive and caring man.

Which I guess actually explain Lily's use of Rey.

Sylvanas is definitely some kind of projected power fantasy -- look at me, I'm just like Sylvanas, I've been through so much trauma but I'm still a badass bitch! -- but she doesn't really use Sylvanas for much in her writing, at least from what I've seen. Her focus is on Anevay and... the other one, whose name has escaped me and I'm not bothered to look it up. I do know that she's actually a minor Forsaken NPC from the game who, from what little dialogue she has, is pretty much a generic quest-director who's there to point you through a couple of battle plots. With a character like that you have pretty much a blank canvas to work with, although there are a few assumptions you can make, like the fact that she's fairly driven and stable and doesn't seem much fussed about being part of the Forsaken. Naturally Lily still turned her into a Tortured Soul her hates herself and has to be coaxed back into love by her gentle but also bloodthirtsy and terrifying fiancee.

But with Rey -- a character who is basically written to be a power fantasy for little girls -- you get this... weird reinterpretation where, after Lily's diverged from the script, Rey suddenly doesn't care about her fundamental motivations anymore. She casts aside the idea of ever meeting her parents against because Aliana is there to be a new family. She loses all agency because Aliana takes care of everything. She turns into a bloodthirsty psychopath who delights in torturing Kylo Ren (who is so incompetent and pathetic one wonders how he managed to traumatize Rey in the first place) and casually shrugs off murder, a character transition that occurred without passing GO and collecting its money. On Luke's planet, Rey is suddenly deprived of her ambition and drive to convince him to train her by meekly following behind Aliana, who does all the talking while Rey sometimes nods in agreement. It only took a few chapters for her whole character to be driven by and revolve around Aliana, and whatever Lily's writing now, it certainly isn't Rey.

But I guess it's the idea of her, an incredibly powerful Force user swept up in a new quest against the Empire, who is so multi-talented and brilliant that she puts to shame every other character at everything they do. Her actual personality and motivations are irrelevant. That's the fantasy Lily wants, once more filtered through the need to be swept off her feet by a powerful and now widely feared but also broken and gentle lover with really cool, custom toys that are also better than everything else in the galaxy.

I have no idea from where does that come from. If Liliana recieved any messages like that, she never published them. Here I haven't seen such thing.
In fairness, she has published a few Asks where people encourage violence against her. The most memorable was somebody saying 'I hope you get raped', which she conveniently used as a segue to reveal that she had indeed been raped. For a second time.

Thing is, most of those Asks are very convenient like that. It just happened that Lily could suddenly use that particular point as a way of garnering more sympathy and proving how Strong and Brave she was in the face of such wanton cruelty. I think somebody else mentioned stabbing and oh, guess what? That also happened but don't worry about it, guys. It's nothing.

They really don't come across as particularly organic, much how that analysis of Lily re: Sylvanas doesn't look at all organic, either. But it's an easy manipulative tactic to make Lily's haters seem like deranged psychopaths and to casually talk her up while still being able to play at humility. In other words, all part of the same attention-seeking scam.

Wait that's possible? That just further highlights how dumb the whole "But we HAVE to have this forbidden sex bond I just made up because of G's lifespan that I also just made up!" thing is.

So totally for real an actual marginalized woman Jerry has Fat G be the incel weeb's perfect waifu. She's always cheerful, cooks for you, is sexually available, and has no thoughts or desires of her own. Fantastic. Why is there an entire comic about these assholes having breakfast. DO SOMETHING.

It's not even that they're just having breakfast in a sterile and bland setting, there's nothing inherently wrong with that. It's always in the same place in the same manner with the same outcome. Why not set it in a public place? Go to a Poke-Waffle House or something. Have some wacky happenings where they get the order wrong and Not-Lily gets to bitch out the cashier?

it is a little unsettling the way that Lily comments on these comics as if she were living in them and commenting on her daily life and believes that it really happened, and the fact that the protagonist is Lily makes things more disturbing.

Are we seeing how Lily imagines her life? Are these comics what she sees? Does she defend this so much because it is so real to her?
no she is just a bad writer

Okay what the fuck is happening to Bonnie? When she first showed up she was at least kind of cute but she's been getting more and more grotesque as time goes on. I'm guessing that Mikaila is trying to convey meme faces but holy shit. She is actively unpleasant to look at.

I know Mikaila's art is low-hanging fruit, but the rest of this strip is pretty bog-standard, serviceable webcomic art. But my eyes just keep going straight to that abomination of shapes and colors.

Unless the gene-slamming experiment actually rendered Bonnie fundamentally unstable and this is evidence of her encroaching degeneration and eventual dissolution.

Yeah that sounds like something Lily would write and definitely not just evidence of her 'vIsUaLs DoN't MaTtEr' attitude.

I don’t think he’s Chris-Chan levels of crazy but it couldn’t be more obvious this is wish fulfillment. Very bland, unimaginative wish fulfillment from an incurious mind.

You mean you don’t find her one zaaaaaaaany expression charming?

Yeah that sounds like something Lily would write and definitely not just evidence of her 'vIsUaLs DoN't MaTtEr' attitude.

But he’ll go out of his way to harshly criticize professional animation for having minor errors.

It's the classic artist mistake where attempts to make a character cute has the opposite effect.

I think at this point the worst thing about the comic is all the soft ball tier ways it could be written better.

Lily has been so generous with her 2 years of bad faith complaining.
I don't even...fuck it.
I've followed Lily for a while (don't really have a choice being an SUfag considering our fanbase never shuts the fuck up) and the idea that she's softballed anything she dislikes is funnier than anything in her insipid webcomic.

Sarcastic Chorus is an example of someone making both genuine and comicly exaggerated criticisms of stuff they actually enjoyed and paid attention to. This is why he doesn't get as much shit as you, Jerry. We know you sent this anon to yourself.

Jerry... YOU don't know what an executive producer is. Sometimes a showrunner is also an executive producer, but not all of the time. Usually an executive producer is someone who finances as well. So you probably mean just producer. And since you're vague-blogging about your hate boner for Rebecca Sugar again a quick Google search tells me that the producer for Steven Universe is a woman named Jackie Buscarino.

And now we know that Sugar had to beg the network for the four part finale the show DID get, because while Season 5 was in production they told her they weren't renewing and to wrap it up. And then for some reason ordered more episodes after accepting her movie pitch. Because sometimes networks fuck creators around. But looking at his criticisms of Legend of Korra he's pretty unsympathetic to that and expects showrunners to just see into the future and anticipate the capricious whims of higher ups who aren't as invested in the work.

She's the kind of critic that refuses to accept context. If something is bad? It's the writing's fault. Never mind that that budgets could've been cut, ideas had to be left by the wayside due to time constraints or anything else.

This is basically Lily's fans saying "she was right all along so you have no reason to complain".

Waaaah why do they call me a cunt when I spend half the video shrieking that the showrunner is a piece of shit and doing everything short of outright calling her a Nazi waaaaaaaaah!

The showrunner is responsible for everything, and is an executive producer I guess, but also this is a corporate product. Jerry just admit you have no idea how the entertainment industry works.
