Besides the obvious bug, the text is so low res. You'd think Alex would at least have high quality assets for the font...

Oh right, it's Alex. What the hell am I saying?!

"clever" y'all's expectations for Alex have certainly stooped lower than I remember

How's the game running, for those of you that have it?

I'm tempted to peep out this new demo myself, but I don't know if I wanna rape my GPU right now. I might try it when I get the chance, but if I report back expect nothing new from what people will have already said.

Here's some initial screenshots and thoughts.

Obviously, but for the permanent record: Osana is indeed here.

Students still conga-line everywhere, and it almost feels like that particular problem is actually worse than it was before.

Performance is a still a swinging pendulum depending on where you happen to be and what NPCs are around. Many UI elements have been reworked or tweaked, but with the bright colors everywhere it does make it a little hard to focus on them. The game still presents both keyboard and controller prompts at random, often flickering between the two even if you don't have a controller plugged in.

Alex may have not as gone as heavy on the vfx as he did when he first implemented the town, but I feel it's still a tad much. Also, opening sequence is STILL not FPS capped, but when you start a new game an FPS limit of 60 is imposed in your bedroom. If it hasn't been fixed, loading a saved game will not impose that cap on bedroom/town/loading screens.

Edit: if you'd like a screenshot of something, let me know and I'll try to provide.
