This is why I almost dislike garden-variety liberals more than the far-left, they barely understand anything and and refuse to acknowledge that Obama and any other democratic party figures are not their friends, they're people in power that don't give a shit about you and manipulate you in return for your undying support. In other words, I do share the frustration that BreadTube-watchers have with liberals.

First of all most of these people are not actually socialist or communist even though they do like to steal a lot of cultural Marxism deconstructivist bulshit
First and foremost these people are of grifters who are out there to make money .
I don't know why you would need tens of thousands of dollars even if you're arguing you're doing this as your full-time profession
Most people could live off maybe three grand a month pretty comfortably so I don't know what the hell these people spend the money on but it's not advancing the cause of socialism.

Almost all "combat" footage From WW2 is staged propaganda footage. I like how he tries to have snarky quips about how all German footage is the same, "ooh lots of big tanks, ooh artillery firing". We have never seen scenes of rows upon rows of Shermans or God fucking forbit, we have seen those Russian Katyhuskas firing.
Speaking of which, Soviets very much used their war time propaganda to justify their subjucation of Eastern Europe and Baltics, having saved them from fascism and what not. Of course, I doubt he would have a problem with THAT.

They also made up many atrocities to justify the purges they carried out on the Germans and Poles in those areas. For example, until nearly the end of the Soviet Union the Russians maintained that the Katyn Massacre was perpetrated by Germans. They actually testified to that effect at Nuremberg.

Well when I first came across him, I didn't know he was a breadtuber.
This was the very first vid I watched of his in which he critqued Dave Cullen/Computing Forever. While I do agree with Dave on a lot of things, there is a even larger amount of things I disagree with him on, so I was initially glad there was someone criticising him & I did find myself agreeing with Suris more than Dave. However, when Dave brought "toxic masculinity" Suris defended the term, saying that it's not about attacking masculintiy. That's when I got my first hint of how pro-socjus he was. As I watched more of his videos, while he did make some good points about the anti-sjws he was criticising, he was also repeating the same old bullshit SJWs spew all the time. "Gender Is A Social Construct", "There's more than two genders", "everything is political" etc & deriding right-wingers/anti-sjws for saying & doing dumb shit while acting almost completely oblivious to the bullshit his side has done.
It was when I saw that he was friends with Xanderhal & Vaush & when I read rationalwiki's list of other Breadtubers on their own puff piece article on them (which is actually where I learned about BreadTube in the first place) that confirmed to me he was one of them.

This was the last video of his that I saw in which he unashamedly defends IDpol topped with a little Brie Larson whiteknighting & even then, It was only to see if he would bring up Anita Sarkeesian & his personal opinion of her (spolier alert:he doesn't).

There must be a term for this thing, it's constant in Breadtube circles, but you can see it in many places.

Taking academic words and phrases and using them as a weapon, like "Toxic Masculinity". Everyone can agree some male behaviours are harmful. But that's just a bailey for the Motte of "Men behaving in X ways is bad" where X is whatever they don't like. Specifically twisting academic language to suit their own ends.

Breadtube's an interesting microcosm of the broader culture war.

If you were paying attention at all during GG, or the earliest Youtube censorship rows, the NeoGAF exodus, or any of the other ongoing culture war flashpoints, you will find Breadtube's involvement on some level or another. You can practically play a Seven Degrees of Kevin Bacon game with Breadtube because of it, where a given Social Justice Lolcow is only so many steps away from them.

For my money, the most hilarious (and ongoing) behavior I've seen taken by Breadtube supporters is one I'm almost positive some of you have seen via following some of these asshats, wherein they will claim to be an expat of another Youtuber's viewerbase - usually, the likes of Jim, Sargon, et al - and then proceed to claim that they left the Youtuber's viewership because of shit that even the most casual of viewers, love or hate them, would know never happened, like claiming Jim supported white ethnostate, or something equally stupid).

The fascinating part is that Breadtube's mouth-breathing followerbase never fucking questions it, ever. I have friends who've intentionally trolled Breadtube's reddit, and cases where a would-be prankster tries to claim fucking insane shit just to see of Breadtube buys it are rife with just never being called on it.

This, for once, is true, but what really annoys me is how blind these people are of the fact that the only reason their opinions are deemed as the "consensus" is because their believes are completely unoffensive and marketable. So much for this "revolutionaries".

Olli also draws comparisons between conspiracy theorists and people who have been critical about the regressive left's thought policing. He even says that the tactics used by AIDS deniers are the are used by people like Jordan Peterson (A lolcow himself, and a case of study for another time) and others. Basically: anyone who does not agree with him.

I can't dispute a lot of affirmations regarding philosophy and humanities, since I have no knowledge of those fields. However, in regards to STEM, I must say that I despise how smug this imbeciles sound by talking about things they have no relation with. Olli has probably never taken a course in Statistics, and yet he presupposes that his wisdom is enough to say what is science and what is not.
