Willful retardation comes in different flavors. Whites Ive noticed are great at abstract thinking and seem to have a genetic urge for transcendence. The mystical journey. That in its self can be a strength but in this case its being turned into a detriment.Na, it's mostly demoralization as a result of the shooting in Kenosha - to imply this attitude and passivity will carry on is a bit early, however; judging by their Twitter talk, planning, and continued backing on a "protest" sense (the moderate left will continuously say rioting cannot be tolerated in any frame but then continue to refer to these riots specifically as protests.) I'd say they're licking their wounds and figuring out how to recover.
Some on the left focus on optics, believe it or not - they don't want a total 'happening' if it doesn't work in their immediate favor.
Don't worry about putting it nicely next time, friendo.

Where black culture discourages understanding things beyong ones immediate concerns are known for their desire for gibmedats.
Both are things lefties exploit to the hilt and to both groups demise.
What the fuck is that gay ass music? The last good musical thing to come out of PNW was Melvins. Lead singer of which just so happened to regularly appear on Fox News. They have started properly smashing up Wheeler's building and there's a dumpster fire growing in the street.

The way they paint themselves so their excursions are seen as just one big party before the cops roll in. It's how they set the "peaceful" narrative. What the fuck is that gay ass music? Are they doing the fucking Macarena?
Yeah. Are they doing the fucking Macarena?
experts agree that is in fact the MacarenaAre they doing the fucking Macarena?
Yeah the guy in charge of the polling said he's having trouble getting people to volunteer this year so they are going to pay people instead. He seems a little concerned about disruptions and mentioned poilce will be patrolling the voting location's some may have off duty cops working at them. Seems strange you have to declare what party your with as they didn't ask me.So long as the counselors are actually teaching/helping kids to cope as in your story, @stupidpieceofshit, I have no problem with that. Those that do nothing to help grieving students better cope moving forward are the ones that do more of a disservice in my opinion.
It sure seems that way, especially since these same groups want to abolish both bail and prisons. if their idea of law enforcement and justice is anything like what we saw when CHAZ/CHOP operated, I'd say forget it.
Any reason why Westboro has interjected themselves into the fray apart from their need to seem relevant again?
I think this was huge. When governors were imposing mask rules and threatening penalties for anyone caught without one, they also turned a blind eye to anyone out protesting the then-recent Floyd death who neither worse masks nor socially distanced. Many normies took one look and asked some combination of "What's up with that?" and "Why should I have to wear masks if they don't?"
The best part, though, was when Trump was asked about a press conference staff not wearing a mask and he told the reporter that it was ok because it was actually a protest. Nobody in the room seemed to like that very much, oblivious to the fact he was pointing out the double standard Democratic areas showed with how they enforced mask usage.
As much as a recall is part of the political process, the bigger question is whether a replacement would be better or worse for the city. "Be careful what you wish for" is good advice once people start talking or acting on the desire to remove someone from office.
In addition to possible preparations for a potential Trump visit, perhaps the NG's presence right now is help preventing riotous conditions from returning should they pull out too soon.
Possibly replied to already, but I believe this specific video clip was compiled the day after the first wave of overnight rioting when the city's police were too overwhelmed for a situation they likely didn't anticipate -- especially with Antifa & Allies seemingly able to mobilize their people anywhere on short notice.
Do you blame them? Until they have city staff and a local DA who will hold those committing criminal acts responsible, there's no incentive for them to risk their well-being for nothing. Portland needs to decide if it wants to double down on its pro-Antifa status or admit things have gotten too far out of hand and they're finally willing to address that.
Even before I knew more about BAMN, their antics always made them look like whack jobs. When the Detroit Federation of Teachers had a more militant leader than they do now, BAMN was an integral part of the DFT's activism. As it stands now, BAMN is still entrenched with DFT. Over in the COVID megathread, I posted abut the Detroit school district's deal to avert a safety strike. One of the teachers that was most vocal with his disapproval for the deal was a BAMN member -- totally unsurprising given their obstructionist, contrarian nature.
Very awesome. If you're able to without powerleveling, I hope you're able to share somewhere on here how the experience works out for you. And I also hope that there's no concerted effort by any fringe groups to keep people away from polling places. That's one of my concerns the longer the violence continues up to November.
I'm not sure if stupidpieceofshit and I are in the same state, but mine has the same rule. I'm not sure if one is limited to declaring as either Republican or Democrat in order to work/observe the polls, or if someone could formally declare as a legitimately-recognized third party such as Libertarian and be permitted to be a poll worker or monitor. Regardless, Independents can't serve in those capacities. To reiterate a previous comment, I find it ironic because one might expect true independent voters to be more objective in performing these duties than someone with a partisan interest.
I'm not sure what chance a challenge would if with the argument that these laws deprive (or perhaps disenfranchise) registered independent voters of the chance to help ensure elections go smoothly for everyone involved.

175 arrests in Kenosha already sounds encouraging so long as we get some sort of prosecutions from them and not 175 instances where nobody gets charged. Having 102 of those arrested being form outside Kenosha isn't too shocking, unfortunately. Detroit had a similar ration with its batch of arrests last week. additionally, we saw all the various factions sending people from all over (such as Portland SnackVan Guy) to Kenosha solely to cause and support trouble.
As for the LA shooting,. I have no words t explain how messed up or concerning this is for trying to get things to settle down anytime soon.

No burning or looting yet, although many people are gathered around the site of the shooting in LA.
Meanwhile in Portland:

Oh, they absolutely do. An amendment for SB-145 just passed through California's legislature, today.
