Landlords are like dad's to these people, that's why they hate them.

I really can't find any rationalization for why abolishing landlords is a good thing. I can wrap my mind around what they mean with "defund the police", despite thinking it's batshit crazy.

Is the government supposed to take over the landlord's property and rent it out? Now you have a different landlord, with the added benefit of dealing with government's inefficiencies when needing anything basic done. Also, good luck trying to sue.

Do you turn it into "communal housing"? Now it's survival of the fittest. You can buy a bed and put it in the bedroom, but someone bigger than you is gonna sleep in it unless you're willing to fight.



There was a really old, abandoned, one-story hotel in my hometown that the county decided to let homeless people live in for free. Even provided water and electricity, along with the normal money and food stamps. It became full of drug dens and prostitution. They kicked the homeless out and sold the property to someone who's rebuilding it.

That's literally how the Kyle Rittenhouse situation started, and it's amazing that people don't make more of this.

What pissed them off in the first place was that they were literally rolling a dumpster fire towards a gas station, someone put it out (likely Kyle grabbed the fire extinguisher but gave it to someone else first), and the crowd got pissed off. Let's be real: to "most people", there are only two types of guns - handguns and machine guns.
