I have this feeling that shoe's trying to solidify her new lefty fanbase before jumping to the Breadtube side completely. Has she started deleting old content or rolling back statements she's made in the past yet? If not, I can expect a complete purge of her old stuff in a few months.

Disagree with me if you want, but if that really is her plan, it's a bad one. Breadtube is going through the same stages that the "Skeptics" went through. Right now it's where the Skeptics were in 2017.

Admittedly time could prove me wrong, but I see that community crashing. Just as the "skeptics" were unable and unwilling to prevent themselves from drifting further and further to the far right, Breadtube is unable and unwilling to prevent itself from drifting into the craziest of leftwing extremes. There is an attitude of "never punch left" that will cost them dearly if they don't abandon it.

Because damn.... do they have some fucking crazy people in their community. In the brief time I spent watching the content from that community I encountered people who argued that the Chinese enjoyed the great Chinese famine because it brought them freedom from capitalism. I saw Vaush repeatedly deny communist crimes against humanity such as the Katyn massacre and Stalinist purges of Poland. People who just openly argue for genocide. People who made videos talking about how they would build gulags for those they disagree with once they are in charge. There are some really fucking insane people lodged in that community who try to push their agendas onto bigger platforms and don't realize that they are pathing a road at the end of which they will look so insane, that people will just walk away from their community.

Also, I see some of the same behaviors that I have seen before. The way bigger breadtube content creators treat anyone on the left who even slightly disagrees with them reminds me a lot of how Thunderf00t was treated by Sargon, and how Sargon treats those "from his own community" who veer off his path in general.

I think that, while a lot of people keep reinventing themselves, I see there are also people who lose all their fans after a series of fuckups. There's also people who get deplatformed and have to rebuild as opposed to enjoying the easy ride of uninterrupted success. (leafy compared to keemstar--who's making more money?) We don't always hear from them (thus don't think of them) for obvious reasons of losing their reach.

I've also seen examples YouTubers over the last 10 years whose bubbles burst and they REALLY fucked their lives up (debt, reputation permanently damaged, being a tard not capable of recovering) because they were banking on streamer income while it lasted. Some people get lucky and never had real skill.

These things may not ultimately kill shoe0nhead, she seems to have some skill at "being a brand" and it doesn't automatically kill a content creator to have their rep damaged. Drama can even help if you do it right, people will support your cause (like itsagundam and pokimane). But it's a gamble, almost a Russian roulette. Playing with your reputation can kill you as an e-celeb if you fuck up in a cataclysmic way. Sometimes this means being capped at a permanent glass ceiling, never really growing past the point when you fucked up (ProJared).

Shoe0nhead has a fairly strong brand, and there are millions of people in the world for her to potentially draw on. I could see her fucking it up, though. Again, she might not "kill" her own brand by accident, but she could damage it greatly. There are so many other volatile factors in her life, her personal issues, mental illness. The biggest risk I see for her is the fact that she lacks a real social life outside of the Internet.
