Unfortunately it seems like post-2016 has been filled with instances of finding out artists, writers, musicians, voice-actors, etc. who made works that you enjoyed and respect are absolute fucking retards in every other aspect of their lives.
I guess you can always separate the work from the creator, of course, but I'll be damned if it doesn't get difficult to enjoy something when you know the creative mind behind it is a moron.
It just makes finding those few creators/artists/etc who don't subject their fanbase to constant Trump Derangement or political sperging in general even better. All of these other assholes seem to think that because they're good at something or created something people like, it means they now "have a platform to make their voices heard" and feel the need to subject those people to their cold garbage political standpoints. Some of these people are really fucking talented or brilliant in one particular aspect but smooth-brained when it comes to anything else. Looking at you, Stephen King. You wrote some fucking great books but I don't give a shit what you think about guns.

They can have Black only radio shows, Black only neighborhoods, Black only colleges, Black only anything. But the moment a White Person call Blacks, 'Niggers', or even DARE have a White only Radio show, or a White only College, or a white only Neighborhood, suddenly, we are Racist and it is perfectly acceptable for us to be shat on by everyone.

Before the 2016 election, I was still in a phase of attachment to Cartoon Network but started to fall off after Regular Show wrapped up its run. It was also when I was at my heaviest use of social media. But boy oh boy, once Trump finally got elected, a lot of my admired voice actors/animators/etc. at the time just had a switch flipped in their brains and it became a torrent of TDS insanity. Steve Blum, Tara Strong, Mark Hamill, the list went on and on as I watched these people get more and more hostile and irrational in my feeds.
You know the whole thing of "never meet your heroes?" That's how I felt when it happened. These were people I would have loved to meet at a convention if I was given the chance, to get an autograph from and maybe even a picture with. Now? Fucking no way in hell, I'd rather go up to these people in line and just slap them once before security tackles me.
