The gaming confessional box - all your sins and lies will find you out

I played NetHack for 10 years and never ascended a single character, even when using spoiler guides.

I played for 20 years before I beat it, but I had to go back to a more primitive version to do it. And I still play it. Because it's awesome.

Do you know someone ported it to Steam? People are pissy about it because "Nethack should be free", but I paid for my first copy because floppy disk.

I can't stand sports games on principle. Why would I line EA's wallet to play digital sportsball when I can round up some friends, go into a park, and play real sportsball? I don't care that FIFA 2022 has Ngubu on the front and that I can take control of Norf FC because I can watch actual games on the bloody television if I'm interested. Ditto Madden, NBA, and so forth.

The only exceptions are "future" or improbable sports that could never exist because of lawsuits the size of the Oort Cloud (i.e. Speedball and suchlike) or sports with an excessive barrier to entry (i.e. ski jumping, which requires a purpose built 90 metre tall hill and testicles the size of melons; Formula 1, which requires an absolutely stupendous amount of money;

If there was a game of Rollerball from the 1975 film with James Caan, though, and which was good, I would be all over it. (Yes I know there's Killerball from 1989 on the Atari ST, Amiga, and PC but that suffered from crippled controls even though it got the aesthetic about right.)

Only sports game I've ever unironically enjoyed was Fifa95 because I was a kid with limited options.

I played more flash games than "real" games during the end of my teenage years

I can't beat any shoot' em up beyond the easiest difficulty, god knows i've been trying to get into the genre lately, but i guess i'm too old for such demanding games
If you're talking danmaku games, they're more about navigating through mazes of bullets than aiming at your target. Try paying full attention to dodging instead of whatever the enemies are doing.

I actually liked the Altmer architecture in ESO's Summerset DLC.

Until I learned how alien and bizarre it's actually supposed to be. Then I didn't like it.
The old, buggy, janky Morrowind was the best in this regard, with its Telvanni plant-towers, ruins, and strongholds. Oblivion was "cave", "dungeon", or "Oblivion gate that gets extremely tedious after your second visit". The only cave I genuinely liked was the one with the dead forest inside. Skyrim got it slightly better.

I downloaded sexy outfit and body mods for skyrim...and put them on kajhit or argonian female dragonborn

Same for fallout 4 i turned piper into a catgirl french maid.

I have some dignity though I never add in nudity mods..never...my hand on a stack of Bibles
You don't use Better Bodies for Morrowind? Good luck finding vanilla compatible sexy outfit mods.

Lollipop Chainsaw is probably the most under appreciated game that I’ve seen on the PS3.
I do wish it was remastered so I can play it in all of its glory. It reminds me so much of Dead Rising.

It gave me Dead Rising vibes just from looking at it as well, but I sadly never got around to playing, I would also love for it to get a re-release.

When I played Majora's Mask as a kid I used the camera to look up the dresses of the dancing girls

Was there anything under there? When I was a kid I would position the camera while paused up Peach's skirt in Smash Bros Melee and she actually had pink, lacy panties.

Morrowind got that alien feeling down just right. It was supposed to be the same for Summerset, but even more so. Upon seeing how shit Auridon looked idk why I was surprised to see how generic Summerset itself was. Even Altmer society itself was dumbed down.

For the sake of not derailing this post into a spergy rant, I'll confess that, when I was younger, I used to save scum the fuck out of any Halo game I had so as to keep my marines or elites alive. I love the lil dudes/big dino aliens too much to let them die.
