It's all a bit of a weird story. Almost as if the police are trying to pull some dirty tricks and discredit this person. He's obviously not a thug. Maybe he really does have a medical condition? The police said that he was singled out for spitting and coughing on people. I find this hard to believe, given the context.

I might be wrong, but this looks like another case of the fucking pigs bullying some guy, when they don't have the balls to even do their supposed duty when Ahmed and his mates go on a rape spree. Happy to be proven wrong, but this is a fishy one. The bloke looks pretty quiet and by his body language I don't think he's a thug.

Shame the pig couldn't do that to the BLM niggers who beat him and his mates up at the recent protests. All without masks.

I usually support the cops. I'm on their side. But I'm not a bootlicker and there's plenty of the cunts to be called out.

Either this bloke was spitting and coughing on people and deserved everything he got, or the pigs just made it up and tried to blacken the name of an innocent man because they got busted. Would be good to know the truth.

Melbourne is part of the state of Victoria. The Victorian government declared a state of emergency in March as a response to Covid-19. It's a law that allows them to suspend all constitutional rights on the grounds that an urgent and overwhelming threat to public health exists. They also declared a state of disaster (usually reserved for wild fires and floods). When these laws were first drawn up it was envisioned that the declarations would only last for a few days, to allow for things like mandatory quarantining of the sick and to move people to safety. They're now six months in and the government asked for a 1 year extension of the state of emergency, as it was about to run out, with the Parliament giving them another six months (with an automatic rollover if the coof is still around March next year).

In Melbourne, right now, the people are under a strict curfew that starts at 8PM. The cops have set up roadblocks around the city and you require special permits to travel 5km from your home. You must produce your papers when asked. Folks have to stay inside 23 hours a day, they're allowed out for 1 hours exercise (just like a Federal pen). Face masks are of course mandatory at all times, even when outside. The cops can issue spot fines for infringements of up to $20,000. Anyone who complains on social media is being closely monitored and the police have made it clear they'll be paying visits to people who get too mouthy about the lockdown. All businesses, except essential services are closed (and pretty much have been since March). All schools and universities are closed. This hard lockdown started 4 weeks ago as the government lost control of it's quarantine facilities, having staffed them with immigrant day workers (I shit you not).

The guy in the video is an anti-lockdown activist. His crime was to go on facebook and urge people to attend a protest against the curfews and home confinements and rise in suicide due to the economic depression (the Victorian economy has all but collapsed). His crime is 'incitement' which means whatever the cops and politicians want it to mean. Basically if you talk to others about how shitty things are you're risking 6 months in prison. He was also slapped with 'possession of illegal weapons' for owning some movie prop swords, because the police are cunts and he was mouthing off to them.

Anyway the Victorian government have recently stated that the lockdown will go on until Christmas. There's less than a hundred cases a day in Melbourne, 90% of the deaths have happened in nursing homes, almost all of the positive cases are being caught in the state run hospitals and most of the rural parts of the state have no, as in zero, cases of Covid but you guessed it they're in lockdown as well. The pregnant woman who was handcuffed? She lives in Ballarat, a small town 100 miles north of Melbourne that also has no cases of Covid. She was arrested for 'putting lives at risk' for organizing a public gathering which could spread the virus, in a town that doesn't have any virus.

If the idea of an advanced western democracy treating it's own population like this sounds kind of creepy and Orwellian, well you'd be right. The Victorian government is run by leftist SJWs, so of course they're telling everyone that this will go on until there's a vaccine, which might be never. Welcome to the future.

To add to the mirth, DS posted a video in one of their articles, which I was unfortunately unable to find a way to download. Evidentently, NSW is getting in on the act as well. The video shows three individuals on a rooftop being confronted by cops in a helicopter using infrared imaging. Because these three men assembled on the rooftop, they were located by the helicopter, and police were dispatched to surround the building, including a K9 unit. That won't work in the US thanks to Saint Floyd of Fent giving us protection from the police. The minute a couple of black guys get roughed up by the police for violating these Orwellian decrees, there will be yet another riot that will make sure the police are too busy to enforce it for a few more days.

Wait a minute, maybe that's the intent...

Before Floyd became another tragic covid death I half joked that any attempts at lockdown enforcement would end the moment some cops getting rough with melanated individuals over lockdowns went viral. Turns out we just got the worst of both worlds with no end in sight to either lockdowns or the state-sanctioned jogging.

What's happening in Melbourne is fucking terrifying. I had no idea Australia was such a leftist hellhole. I remember reading about the people fleeing the quarantine hotels they were locked in. They had to endure daily tests yet STILL were forced into 2-week hotel stays with armed guards outside their doors even if they repeatedly tested positive. Scary shit. That is not about health. That's pure control.

I honestly don't see the mask-wearing lasting for more than a few years IF THAT, at least not in the U.S. Maybe a group of people will still wear them and the government will widely encourage it or local governments will come up with more bullshit ordinances, but once given the opportunity, most people rip them off and say "fuck this shit." I honestly predict most people will give up on the masks by mid-2021.

A few years is a REALLY long time, and at some point, things will start to shift. We're already seeing it happen slowly but surely, though we are in the early stages.

That's not to say people won't still be terrified, prone to fear-mongering, and other nonsense won't be tried on the general public (as that is always), but the excitement around COVID will dwindle at some point, especially once a vaccine (useless or not) comes into the picture.

Call me optimistic but I just don't see this lasting ~forever. They'll come up with something new by then.

I'm watching a livestream of some of the riots going on, and if it isn't addressed soon by the authorities fearmongering about Corona-Chan how all those assholes can march arm in arm while screaming and chanting but not drop dead a week later I am going to be crankier than usual.
They expect everyone to stay inside and be afraid to touch shopping carts without sanitizing them first but the riots are okay? 'Splain it to me, science people. I am curious. How are the rioters surviving this?
I'm waiting.

Usually, doomers will say the protests don't cause covid spikes because covid has a low chance of spreading out doors. It's just pick and choose facts to support a desired narrative. The whole thing kinda reminds me of organized religion.
