The causes of WW1 were: political, territorial and economic competition, militarism, a complex web of alliances and alignments, imperialism, the growth of nationalism, and the power vacuum created by the decline of the Ottoman Empire. As you can see, five of these causes have to do with ideology and relations between countries.
Now, the main causes of WW2 were: anger that arose in Weimar Germany due to the believed to be unfair Treaty of Versailles, which led to Hitler's Nazi Party taking control; Fascist Italy and Imperialist Japan's aggression against Ethiopia and China respectively; and the adoption of authoritarian governments due to the Great Depression. As you can see, all three have to do with ideology, and not with "muh diversity" or "muh immigration".
