US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I can't even tell you if I hope he'll use this point as an attack-- I just think it could be very effective, if it isn't predominantly perceived as a nasty blow.

It's definitely risky, Biden's dead son has generally been left alone, his coke addicted loser living son is obviously fair game but if Trump does go after him about voting for the Iraq war I think he'll dance around the deceased son, even for Trump that'd be rough water to try to navigate.

Trump insulted John McCain and that Pakistani Gold Star family. Going after Biden for the Iraq War in peanuts compared to those two.

The woman next to Biden knew she had to get outside with Joe before the veterans actually force him to answer real questions.
No doubt about it. It's one of many videos that prove how and why they run away from it, because they believe that no matter what happens, they will never be held accountable for it. Ironic how just a few days back, the mainstream media tried to slander Trump with the "soldiers are losers and suckers" lie since they know most veterans will vote for him otherwise. I wouldn't be surprised if that lead increases even further after all is said and done.

Trump won Michigan by 0.23%.
I could only imagine what other Rust Belt states look like.

Fuck pulling punches.
There's no reason to not go all in, especially now, but you need to be principled about it. Not in the name of "common decency" or whatever, but in consideration of the practical consequences-- among them likely being that you turn off independents and leave an opening to be accused of using Biden's dead son as a prop. Trump's not going to get the time to explain that Biden threw his deceased son in the ring in the first place in an anemic attempt to own two military vets that threw in his face his bad call re: Iraq and its consequences, and even though he wouldn't be insulting Beau in the process, his being used in an attack is probably going to make it feel that way even if it doesn't make sense.

Asserting that Biden's decision put his own son's life at risk in a war that never needed to be started is an extremely strong emotional appeal that can cast Biden as a soulless politician that would put his own children in harm's way for political gain, but the net benefit is extremely uncertain with moderates and independents. Just pointing out the general cost of the Iraq War and contrasting his history on war matters with his own is more pedestrian, but can only help him and leaves less openings.

It's why I think that if the campaign wants to circulate this rhetoric, it needs to be grassroots, because Trump can't say it-- and it'd be worse if one of his direct associates said it, I reckon.

It's not "going after Biden for the Iraq War"-- it's "using Biden's dead son's deployment in the Iraq War to go after Biden for the Iraq War".
So the Biden Team wants donations? How about they just campaign there, instead?

They're going to repeat Hillary all over again.
I don't know if they've ever campaigned in Michigan, but I can't imagine that they wouldn't at all, and I can't imagine that they have no such plans for the rest of the season with all the money they have.
I need this to be real. I want to believe, but none of you fucks archive shit.
There's a link to the poll that the Facebook post mentions. Here's an archive of the poll post.

The Biden ad saying they're down in Michigan comes from Trafalgar, a pollster with an actually great record including 2016. However, Nate Tin at 538 doesn't use it. How strange that the media class has access to these same polls spelling trouble for Biden but refuse to acknowledge them, even when Biden himself (more like his puppeteers) do. Makes you really think.

WTF is this? Donation link from searching leads here or here, both subdomains of joebiden.com

The latter looks like a normie signup page, but look at the text on the first one.

The Biden campaign, the DNC, and 47 state parties have entered a joint fundraising agreement to build on the DNC's already existing infrastructure that will help defeat Donald Trump and win elections for Democrats across the country. Our goal is to ensure that we put Joe Biden in the best position possible to beat Donald Trump, and your support of the Biden Victory Fund allows us to do just that.

I don't think this is an election campaign fund.

Those numbers might look strangely large, but they aren't accidental.

Contributions or gifts to Biden Victory Fund are not tax deductible.

Biden Victory Fund accepts contributions of up to $721,300 from a person and $345,000 from a multicandidate committee (“PAC”).

The first $2,800/$5,000 from a person/PAC will be allocated to Biden for President.

The next $35,500/$15,000 from a person/PAC will be allocated to the DNC.

The next $150,000/$75,000 from a person/PAC will be split equally among the Democratic state parties from: AZ, CO, FL, GA, MI, MN, NC, NE, NH, NV, OH, PA, TX, VA, and WI.

The next $110,000/$55,000 from a person/PAC will be split equally among the Democratic state parties from: AL, DE, KS, LA, MA, MD, MS, NJ, NY, VT, and WV.

The next $210,000/$105,000 from a person/PAC will be split equally among the Democratic state parties from: AK, AR, CT, DC, HI, ID, IN, KY, ME, MO, MT, ND, NM, OK, OR, RI, SC, TN, UT, WA, and WY.

Any additional funds will be allocated to the DNC.

Added line breaks to the fine print so you can see what's going on. The fund that is soliciting donations on Facebook is a conglomerate deal that lets you spread money across nearly the entire USA. It looks like they get away with it by only sending the legal maximum to the Biden election campaign itself, then starting the split among the rest.

I guess a $10 donation would go directly to the Biden campaign, but the whole thing looks like a grift to piggyback generic Democratic fund-raising on top of the Presidential ticket.
