How on Earth are AmericanKiwis coping with all this bullshit lately? I mean, how the everloving fuck do you ladies and gents cope with people you encounter who are so fucking stupid they gobble down the MSM narrative of "muh pissful protests!!"? You know, the ones who snicker and LOL at people who take part in Trump protests and have their boats sink but who are oblivious, whether through choice or not, I cannot tell, to the utter fucking carnage being wrought in the name of "anti racism" by burn loot murder and pantifa?
Seriously, how the hell do you lot cope? Asking for a friend and all.
A big part of the reason this is jarring to us is because things are so good here.
If you work hard and are financially frugal for about decade in America, you can live in the suburbs of a booming city on an acre or on a smaller lot in a nice part of town and still have a family. Rural living is even cheaper and more open if you are able to work there sustainably which is getting easier and easier with advances telecommunication. It may not be the mansion you dreamed of as a kid or the penthouse of some skyscraper, but it's a good life. Crime does get very bad in some areas, but the worst of it is intraracial and within a zipcode you would never go to anyway. I've been to Europe a lot, it seems like people in the cities live stacked on top of each other in attached housing units with barely a back patio even in the nice suburbs. Frankly, a lot of it looks like section 8 to us.
Most of the really bad stuff is happening in like 5-10 major cities, and hasn't even really leaked out into the suburbs or nice areas of those cities often if at all. Most cities, even majority Black cities, had a couple marches for a week that maybe broke a couple windows on one particularly rowdy night less than 1/10 as bad as a sports championship win and then got maced by the cops. No issues thereafter other than the occasional meetup at a park and increased graffiti on the sides of bridges or on the pavement in ultra-urban areas. The social situation, in cities and cities alone really, is oppressive, but that's hardly unique to America. You can go to jail for saying "nigger" online in Europe. Sports and all other media going full BLM wasn't awesome, but the EPL set everyone's jersey name to "Black Lives Matter" for like a month and did all the kneeling and everything even worse.
We do ultimately have more rights and wealth than the rest of the West which are the only countries we should compare with. We can still defend ourselves and even do it with guns, we can technically still say unpopular things without the Government prosecuting us, we have a tax system friendly to starting a small business, racial gangs are still actually pursued by the cops, and we actually get a W sometimes on right wing policy.
People forget how huge, wealthy, open, focused-on, and populated America is when compared with other Western countries.
Basically we're complaining about it a lot because we're supposed to be better than this.
