US Joe Biden News Megathread - The Other Biden Derangement Syndrome Thread (with a side order of Fauci Derangement Syndrome)

Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

God, is Biden's strategy to vocally copy Trump's policy and gaslight America into thinking that Biden's policy is Trump's? This is some batshit insane genius 11D Metroid Prime 2 strategy right there.

If Biden literally takes both sides of every argument, then the fact checkers can claim that anyone that opposes him is lying because Biden has literally said the opposite of everything he said before.

Becoming a quantum event that is all positions simultaneously is a tough trick to pull off but it's worth a shot.

Harris and Obama get down to the hard hitting facts about Joe Biden. Like the fact that he likes Ice Cream and Pasta. Could a Biden follow Trump's stunning "two scoops" behavior?

View attachment 1580400

Jesus christ, how the fuck can you release this to the public and think "This makes our guy look good"? The way that they talk about him is exactly how I talked to the tard-guard that was hired as my replacement when I quit tard wrangling.

The tard I worked with loved pasta and icecream too, I bet Joe would love a playmate that was operating at his speed.

What type of fucking press question even was that? "Oh Mr Biden, Trump is scaring voters away from you, why is that wrong?"

Literally these faggots are the enemy of the people. Everyone knows their treatment of Biden is unserious and a joke, but the media class still thinks people will trust them. What a fucking disgrace to the field.

I will say this; it takes a tremendous amount of balls to say that TRUMP is the one trying to defund the police. That's like telling your wife how stupid she is for thinking you're cheating on her as you are literally fucking another woman.

Or if you wish, substitute "balls" for "complete lack of conscience and respect of people."

"He doesn’t have the energy, he doesn’t have the pace of his speaking," McCormick said. "He’s a different guy."

McCormick’s recent book Joe Biden Unauthorized recounts his time working with Biden and takes a critical look at the former vice president, including the time he says Biden was "humiliated" by Russia's Vladimir Putin in 2011.

McCormick—who often traveled with Biden and transcribed his speeches, public conversations with foreign leaders, and off-the-record media briefings for the official White House record—said the vice president had a talent for connecting with audiences when he was in office and almost always veered off script from his pre-written speeches. Biden’s physical stamina and cognitive health have come under scrutiny during the 2020 election, due to a series of speaking appearances in which the 77-year-old has appeared to lose his train of thought, struggled to finish a sentence, or forgotten where he is.

"He’d just make a big joke out of it, and go straight from the hip. And notice, he’s not doing that anymore," he said. "He read that [Democratic National Committee speech] verbatim … it’s not Joe Biden anymore."

The Biden campaign did not respond to a request for comment.

McCormick said Biden also seems to get "lost" during interviews now, a problem he said seems more pronounced since leaving the White House.

In recent interviews, Biden seems to have been reading directly from a teleprompter when answering questions, including instructions from his staff, such as "END QUOTE" and "TOPLINE MESSAGE."

He has also made odd statements, telling one online audience that when he was a patient at Walter Reed Hospital, the nurses would "breathe in my nostrils to make me move."

President Trump has nicknamed him "Sleepy Joe," and the Trump campaign released a video ad last month suggesting that he is suffering from cognitive decline.

While McCormick says Biden was a more articulate speaker in the White House, his tendency to ramble sometimes caused him problems with foreign adversaries.

During Biden’s first visit with then-Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in March 2011, McCormick said the former KGB leader "publicly humiliated" the vice president by cutting off his microphone during their press conference—an incident that McCormick said never made it into media coverage of the trip.

Biden’s staffers at the time "made a big deal about how Putin really dominated the conversation [with] Obama" in a prior meeting, said McCormick. They indicated that Biden, with his decades of Senate foreign policy experience, wasn’t going to let Putin get the upper hand.

But during the public portion of the meeting in Moscow—as Biden launched into a soliloquy about his visits to Russia during the Cold War—his microphone was abruptly cut off mid-sentence, the press lighting was switched off, and Putin’s aides ushered the media out of the room, said McCormick.

"[Putin’s] message was unmistakable: I’m in charge of the room, I’m in charge of my country, and I’m in charge of the reset," wrote McCormick in his book. "As you might imagine, the vice president’s staffers were furious with the Russians. I was instructed to have the transcript reflect how the vice president had been cut off in mid sentence."

The official White House transcript of the meeting includes the sudden ending: "VICE PRESIDENT BIDEN: There’s a reason, Mr. Prime Minister. Mr. Prime Minister, I’ve been around a long time. The first time I was here—the second time I was here, I was meeting with President Brezhnev. We were trying to pass SALT II—END"

"He basically got body slammed by Putin, really. I mean, I don’t know how else to describe it," McCormick told the Free Beacon. "To me it was like, here’s our great foreign policy expert and he just got punk’d. And Vladimir Putin just had no fear or respect for him."

I wonder if Trump should take a different approach with Biden. He doesn't want to come off as bullying a man who is clearly sick. What if he were to make a statement to the effect of "I feel sorry for Biden. It's not right the way the Denocrats are exploiting him."? It would make him seem like the bigger man.

That might work in a magical land in which people are sane, but is the modern area, pitbull politics are what is in order.

As others have stated, the swing is not that big as both sides are pretty entrenched at this point. The correct course of action is to depress the other sides base, kill their desire to get out and vote. You will try for a million years and be lucky to turn a handful of voters, and no promise they are in a swing area so it could be for nothing. So go big, attack the resolve of your enemy and hope you can expose him/her badly enough for their supporters to lose hope.

They are not trying to change Trump voters to Biden, they are trying to energise their base so as to keep them in the race.

This is the modern era, for all its fancy bluetooth dildos and phone apps, has changed very little from the Roman days of just smearing shit on those you disagree with.

That's some 42069D chess right there

Apparently it's working. This is what my friend, a hardcore BLM supporter, replied when I posted the video.

Dispute the claim Salubrious. Where’s the gaslighting?

Salubrious, dispute what Biden said about Trump’s budget. Is it true or not? Secondly, defund is being taken too literally. The calls are for reallocating funds, and demilitarizing the police. They don’t need to look like an armored division of the military, or like navy seals.

Vote blue no matter who indeed.

"Only Trump says it when he didn't say it, and when other people say it then it doesn't count"

lmao it working on a hardcore BLM supporter, who would eat glass before voting Republican, is not evidence it works among swing voters.

I'm not shocked that BLM's hate Trump.

I am a little surprised though that BLM can literally hear their "Defund the Police" slogan be heard as "Trump is calling for it", and not even be remotely suspicous. But Trump wants a DIFFERENT "defund the police", so Orange Man still bad.

Quite the contrary. I have a family member who has never voted R and never will. She's too old to change that, and was excited for Hillary. She's totally disgusted with this 2020 choice. She'd never, ever vote Trump, but is irritated and crestfallen that Biden is the candidate. She's not a weirdo Lefty Bernie voter, by the way. The more she sees, the more disappointed she is. She will vote and she'll vote for Joe (because she's old school and always votes), but it makes me wonder how many other normal "D" voters who are as disappointed as she is, but unlike her will actually stay home.

If anyone is curious as to where the Biden statement that Trump defunds police from, it has to do with his sanctuary city policy.

Federal law requires that localities not bar local officials from speaking with federal officials about the citizenship status of those arrested. Several states and cities said they would not comply, so Trump and the Justice Department said they would withhold law enforcement grant money. Naturally much crying ensued. As far as I know, courts have been on Trump's side on this so far.

Okay. That is bad. Jesus fuck. The entire thing is yellow. What the shit?
It's probably bad white balance.

He's just showing that he's gonna go hard on his future mask mandate, bigot!

The strategy now is to deflect, gaslight, and project so hard on Trump that when they get to the debates, the "fact-checking" pundits will be on Trump for being anti-this/that, while Joe rides high and mighty for being Trump.

Anything to get the normies and independent voters.
The thing is that the Republicans are misrepresenting specifically Biden when they say he wants to defund the police. I think he may have said something to that effect at one singular point, but without taking a seemingly strong stance on that position-- immediately afterwards, he insisted on not defunding the police to the dismay of the Democratic party's progressive wing. It's the progressives that are jockeying for police defunding, and Biden's in their company, so he gets tainted by association-- not only directly, but also by the widespread failure of Democrats (himself included) to unequivocally denounce the rioting, meaning that even if they're condemning the rioting now and asserting that they don't want to defund the police, they've already ceded that ground to the Republicans because they were the ones standing by the police and condemning the riots from the start.

He's probably not going to be able to shake the "defund police" stench until the debates, and the kind of company his keeps is going to hamper that endeavor. Trying to convince people that Trump is the one who wants to defund the police is going to backfire if he continues to try-- you don't get police union endorsements by actively defunding them.

This person would probably be able to compete with HHH in the olympic championship of mental gymnastics and goalpost shifting.

you don't get police union and hundreds upon thousands of police officer endorsements by actively defunding them.
FTFY. Biden also misses out on not going to these states. Trump has a Michigan rally Thursday, and although there are Biden supporters there, it's obviously in ocean blue districts (you can see Biden signs on Facebook).

As for Establishment Biden v. Progressives, the flip flopping may or may not do much. Either vote blue no matter who or not vote at all. At least there will be some faithless electors this time around, given how many neoconservative RINOs revealed themselves these four years.
