I for one find it immensely satisfying to know, that despite all his macho posturing, Phil wheels his groceries around in a little tard-cart like some little ol’ lady... AND has to have his girlfriend help him carry out a piece of furniture! :story:

Yeah... this... makes no sense. After years of excuses he finally does this when he is supposed to be sick, over and above his normal frailty, and supposedly can't afford groceries. Does he understand how badly the timing on this undermines everything he said for the last week? The stuff that was already not believable?

Also... he didn't make any move on anything that he is doing now until the vest streak ended. Was it that the paypigs scared him into doing something? Does he now feel, with the streak ending, that he is going to need to do something fresh, fast, in order to entice them into forking out money again?

Or. Has he had the capacity to do this for a long time, and he was literally just waiting to see how long he could stretch the vest streak while doing nothing, using that as a constant carrot that they would never get until the streak actually ended?

I didn't think him finally fixing his office (maybe) or making improvements could be this scummy, but his timing is so fucked up.

No it makes zero sense whatsoever.

But remember: While some people like to portray Phil as a super sneaky grifter and master hustler, the reality is that he’s fucking stupid.

The wheelchairs he’s gritting off are just even more stupid. (Or don’t really care about being taken for a ride.)

Not sure why you think he’s adding a new couch. Easiest explanation is moving his chair and using the old green screen like people have asked him to for ages. If he got a new fucking couch though that would be hilarious. I don’t see that happening though.

I don't know man, I think that and the laptop are his number one priorities, then the ps5 and maybe the new xbox.

Isn't weird sitting on a gaming chair while playing in front of a TV? To me, those chairs are only for PC setups. I wonder what he got.
 
Ultimately I don't think there's any non-shit thing he could do that his fans and detractors haven't been screaming at him to do for 5+ years. Being insultingly late to the party, yeah, but also right after all this money very obviously made its way into his hands, money that he said he needed to survive, and to buy groceries and to pay taxes and his "tax guy" for a retainer.

So for years he comes up with excuse after excuse as to why he can't do all this shit to improve his stream. He's too busy, he doesn't have the money to do it, it would interrupt his autistic daily routine. Okay, fine. He gets 25,000 dollars. On the 250th streak vestival he said he was caught up on his taxes. Then he gets another three thousand dollars. Then he "gets an ear infection". Two days ago he says he's in the red and can't afford groceries. Then he totally bleeds his few whales dry trying to earn money for days he *didn't do any work!*

And now he's—ostensibly, allegedly—bought new furniture, as someone said above, something that only benefits him.

To play devils advocate a bit, DSP could have purchased a new couch/loveseat/chair months ago, but wanted a custom tailored color (typically free, you just have to wait longer). Factor that in with Coofs shutting down everything for months, the order could have been back-ordered until now, months after he's paid for it fully and is now "facing" difficult financial turbulence when it would be the dumbest time to buy something expensive.

That said, fucker probably went to IKEA during his "sick" days, bought a new couch and had it delivered today, and we're all mentally fucked because we're fascinated by the appearance of a couch. DSP's autism vortex sure is something, ain't it?
