Every so often, I begin to feel like I have lost the ability to be genuinely disgusted at things. That I have seen so much fucking bullshit online that nothing will make me retch and recoil in fear at what the hands of man can create, at least not anymore.


Then I find a thread like this one. Good fucking Christ, humanity is irredeemable trash.

I feel like the appeal of Fluffies is different for everyone. For some it's more or less a form of stress relief or a kind of outlet for one's darker impulses. Fluffies are more or less designed to be irritating shitrats that you want to abuse, and it's all fiction. So is it kinda weird, sure, but I feel like if you know it's fake and just indulge in it as a stress relief fantasy then you do you. But yeah, then there absolutely are sick fucks who like this stuff because they get off on the idea of torturing a helpless little animal, which is beyond sick IMO.
Tl;dr if you're aware it's all fake and just want to blow off steam writing fanfics about your cat eating a herd of Smarties, have at it; if you're into some Luka Magnotta shit, neck yourself

I'm kind of surprised that more people don't understand why it's funny. It's just hilariously edgy and bleak. It's sort of like how in the Evil Dead remake things just keep getting fucking worse for the one character, who has these horrible but nonlethal things happening to him, like getting shot a bunch with a nail gun.

I posted this same exact thing before, but if these comics were about real animals or children, it would be completely fucked and unreadable. But they're about even uglier, more annoying and stupid versions of character characters that are already reviled by most people who don't want to fuck them. Do you think the people that used to watch Celebrity Death Match or used to laugh at Kenny getting horrifically murdered in South Park are sicko freaks that need to be institutionalized? It's the same concept just pushed further. And honestly, the reactions of people coming in here absolutely disgusted is like 50% of the joke, so please don't stop.

Now that said (and how @Petronella put perfectly) there are sick fucks that do this out of some kind of sexual thrill or a "placebo" to quell desires to inflict real harm on helpless creatures, and those people need to get fucked with something large and thorny.

This actually makes me angry because it happens everyday. Some little kid thinks that they can take care of a pet and then they kill it. A parent gives their toddler a hamster and when it inevitable gets crushed to death they get another one. The cruelty towards creatures that can't fight back saddens me.

The talking is probably both to emphasize how baby-like they are and also how annoying they are. At least, every time I hear someone actually try to verbalize their talking I want to claw my ears out. I never see them much but apparently there are "smarties" or some other subspecies that talk normally I believe.

I keep seeing people say it's "stress relief" or it's "edgy humor". And sure, I doubt most people would reenact this stuff in real life with other small critters. But honestly if I ever knew someone who envisioned and drew this crap I would cut off all ties with them immediately. I don't want to deal with that.

To me the "humor" comes more from laughing at the artists for actually taking the time to draw this shit rather than the concept itself, which is incredibly autistic even when interpreted as charitably as possible. Saying it's all in good fun for anyone involved in producing it is a massive cope.

The concept is bargain bin edgelord shock humor. It’s not so much the actual concept of fluffies that is hilarious, it’s the autistic degree of detail and effort people put in to making these things that goes beyond shitposting. Like a joke that wasn’t all that funny to begin with but the person keeps explaining it and going in to extraneous detail hoping that eventually it will click in everybody and they’ll get a big laugh out of everyone.
