I'm not saying they don't, I'm saying that the way they are choosing to combat is it not only bad for their relationship, but even worse for* their daughter than dating the Gunt.

Riddle me this: What happens if, in the next 18 months, Faith leaves Ralph and cuts off all contact? What do you think is actually going to be more detrimental to her future prospects? The fact that she, to minor drama, had sex with some disgusting fuckup? Or the fact that the intimate details of said drama were posted all over the internet, in glorious technicolor, by her own parents?

edit: Obviously the revenge porn is an important aspect of this, I'm not excusing that and I'm not guntguarding, I'm just saying that her parents actions have made it much (much) worse and no better.

Everyone did, sure. But how many intentionally take the worst possible option every time?
She's not a victim at all; she's getting her kicks from the drama, attention and the pain she's putting her parents through.

This entire affair has been her willfully making a series of life-ruining, family-shattering decisions. She's not under the Gunts thumb in the slightest.
She did this knowing full well it would break her mothers heart.

Anything the Vickers do pales in comparison to Ralph leaking the sex tape. If you're a sane person you would look at what they did and realize they were trying to help their daughter. What's more likely? Ethan and Faith getting married after a few months of dating or Ethan having dated her since before she was 18?
