At risk if perpetuating the problem I've already complained about, that isn't quite a fair analysis.

Lets put it in different terms. There are people out there who have suffered years of abuse at the hands of various others, to the point that they expect that abuse from everyone. This creates a powerful anxiety about the ongoing status of current and future relationships (of any sort, not just romantic or sexual), rising from a deep-seated fear that the relationship will inevitably become abusive. To alleviate that anxiety, they pre-emptively attempt to provoke the expected abusive behaviours in order to push past the anxiety stage and confirm their beliefs. They engage in similar behaviour even in an abusive relationship, because it gets past the "violence" part of the cycle of abuse and back to the love-bombing and stable calm part.

This sort of self-sabotage isn't just an individual behaviour, but can manifest at a group level as well, as witnessed by the culturally-ingrained persecution complexes of numerous nations around the world. Russians tend to suffer it. The English suffer it terribly( along with a weird inferiority complex that I won't get into at the moment, but which, I feel, explains Britain's obsession with Arabs and islam).

Without commenting specifically on Jewish cultural imperatives, the idea that a group of people could collectively, reflexively self-sabotage their own attempts at success isn't that strange at all.

I really don't know why DA JOOS keeps being brought up as a topic of discussion in this thread lately and with such hostility on both ends. But here, I'll just quote the closing paragraph of the article I linked to you yesterday (since I'm not sure if you read it or not), and hopefully it can help with understanding the supposed contradiction in levels of competence that you've been noting repeatedly. If not, then it might help to read the rest of it. Anyway, the paragraph in question:

The eucalyptus thing is way overblown. They were only planted in certain areas near the coast in southern California. The fires are happening nearly entirely in natural environments.
