Think the attitude isn't sheltering per se as having no real hardship. When your biggest concern is having to babysit your brothers too much and you don't have to worry about where your next meal is, this is a larping, slummy adventure. 'I'm going to show my parents'. But you don't want to admit you've done that, so you go all out.Faith comes off to me like every sheltered 18-20 year old. They think because they're technically an adult they deserve to be given respect and taken seriously. When in reality they have not accomplished anything in their life yet. They also still have that cringey disdain for their parents. The craziest thing to me is how anyone over the age of like 22 doesnt realize this. Mr Vickers is completely correct when he said Ralph really is 15 mentally. Ralph putting up with all of this just makes me more curious about his life. How can you be over 30 and so mentally stunted?
While you are right on the cost, what judge would look at the facts and believe that there's a reason for a restraining order? She's not in contact with her family, the threats have been one sided on Ralph's part (except for Vickers saying he'll go to the cops) and as much as Ralph and Faith want to pretend, the Vickers have not done or shared anything illegal.
I can't imagine a restraining order sticking with the amount of evidence that Vickers has on his side.

A wild lvl 18 Fai Fai approaches
Fai Fai used SOB STORY...
It wasn't every effective.
See I can't dismiss blame on Faith. I genuinely think she's a giant piece of shit. There's part of me that thinks that her and Ralph deserve each other, and the squalor they build together. This hostage video is one of the single most fucked up things I have ever seen, arguably even more fucked up than the sextape.
And yes, it should be called a hostage video and nothing else. She is clearly reading a message he typed out for her to read.
This is the Gunt's message to the Vickers family and both their daughter's message to them.
I find this severely fucked up. A disgusting addict using someone's daughter like some sick bargaining chip in a negotiation over his already shattered online credibility.
Oh no the starfish, noooooOOOOOoooooooo not the starfish, tell'em gaydor.PPP reacting Faith having a PTSD attack from seeing chicken sandwiches and paper plates. True kino.

Easy. One party is a convicted felon and the other are a teenage girls' parentsI don't try to predict the outcome of a legal matter. I will say this, though: the complicated untangling of the facts from an uninformed third party will be difficult. Imagine you're Judge RalphsFailingKidneys, and you've never heard of Ethan Ralph. You receive a piece of paper asking for a 15-day restraining order, which only details The Gunt's side of the story. Based on this, you grant the preliminary restraining order, and set to have a hearing between the parties once it expires. When the time of the hearing arrives, the Gunt and child bride come in tow, along with two middle-aged Californians (I'm assuming the Vickers would fly out to fight this). Each is saying the other is a horrible abuser, a manipulative liar, and they're desperately trying to get you to look at their phones screenshots for carefully curated exchanges that show the other is a monster.
How fucking confused are you? We Kiwis have the benefit of looking at events as they occur linearly and in excruciating detail. But the judge would have only this brief, fleeting snapshot on what the fuck is going on, based on what two involved parties are saying about one another. Who knows how it could turn out?
