Let's just all remember that this is the same man who just last year spent about thirty minutes making fun of Boogie's dentures on his show because Boogie HAD LUNCH with Maddox. This same man who is begging Boogie not to leave him like the most desperate and pathetic attention whore in the world. I mean ffs, it's not like the two were fucking and they developed some deep romantic affections for each other.*
Come to think of it, Boogie did catch some flak earlier in the year for using Tiktok and following teenage girls on it, and like, recording videos of himself without his shirt on. I don't remember him doing anything overtly pedophiliac with it, but it made people in the Boogie thread say "what the fuck".

Hell, I know of a movie that made fun of child pageantry that came out years ago. It was called Bad Grandpa and it was fucking hilarious, especially when Knoxville made it rain on that kid who crashed the pagent with him.
Now that you mention this, didnt he have Boogie on the show very close after making fun of him? Like, does Boogie even know what Dax said about him?
The only thing I can imagine making this godforsaken movie work with this “we show how bad this is by doing it ourselves” is if it’s something like an Animal Farm or 1984, where in those they show you how bad things are by plunging you into the world of the issue. The problem of course is that child exploitation is so reviled by normal people that all you need is a short infographic/Scared Straight commercial to get across the message. Its like trying to argue that the presence of the sun makes it day, you dont need to do it because we know.
I would say because of all the backlash and media attention the movie has gotten, it probably has raised awareness about the evils of child exploitation. I don't know if that actually is the core message of the film because I haven't seen it, but indirectly it has spread a good message I think.
The difference is that pedophiles don't jerk off to totalitarian dictatorships.

If I remember correctly wasn't the guy trying to fundraise for the ticket and Dax paid it out instead of promoting it? I may be misremembering but I find it suspect Dax wouldn't have the person he paid for the ticket for on the show and then use it to say how great he is since he's done this with everyone else.
