I have known three or possibly four 160+ IQ individuals in my life. When conversing with someone, it is usually easy to tell if the person you are talking with is one standard deviation (15 pts) off from your IQ. I've also found that the more you know about a subject, the better you are at explaining it to someone who doesn't. Any asshole can recite some overly technical quotes from a junior-level STEM textbook, but it takes a smart person to be able to rephrase those quotes into something teachable. The smarter you are, the better you are at not talking over peoples' heads even though you could if you wanted. This is why know-it-all know-nothing college professors are so good at sounding like geniuses but couldn't teach a raccoon to steal garbage. There's a difference between memorizing information and processing it into knowledge.

On December 18, 2017 the Amtrak derailment with deaths occurred. I remember this being a big fracas at the time but all the coverage I remember focused on the train taking the curve way too fast. No mention was made of anarchists or antifa that I remember.

On April 20, 2017, Antfa claimed to have poured concrete on the train tracks to stop a train they claimed carried fracking supplies or some shit.

As far as I can tell this never resulted in a derailment, even though the action clearly was intended to cause one. I did not hear about this but it also wasn't strictly speaking local to me at the time and given all that appears to have happened is the police swooped in and cleaned up the poop after the incident caused delay, it doesn't exactly surprise me that this didn't get televised coverage.

The article you are linking is conflating the two events which isn't quite correct based on what we know now.

That said, the fact that antifa not only carried out but claimed responsibility for an attempted derailment isn't shocking, I kind of expect it at this point, but the scale of potential atrocity is barely less than a bomb in a public place which should skeeve anyone out. As should that weird variation of ends justifies means rolled out whenever they do shit like this, where because the ends were not catastrophic it somehow makes the extremely criminal means and harmful intent less of a problem in their minds and allows them to say "well nobody diiiiiieeeeed, try again chud" when right thinking people have the predictable "I'm sorry you did WHAT exactly?" reaction.

This is a strange crossover I've noticed as the riots came about but I largely ignored, and was forced to notice when I going over who RiotRibs was donating money to when they tried desperately to see if they could avoid paying taxes on $300k of taxable income. "Meals for Heels" was one of the recipients which was a meal delivery service for...sex workers specifically? "Naked Athena" was also a sex worker as I recall. People in mentions and retweets claiming to be sex workers fucking everywhere.

The crossover was significant in Portland especially but it seems like "sex workers" get mentions well outside that enclave of degeneracy, whereas previously I'd only occasionally seen "sex worker" advocacy in weird corners of tumblr and the occasional libertarian or far-lefty article pointing out that re-labeling plain jane prostitution to "human trafficking" as a way to drum up support for more stringent anti-prostitution laws is some bullshit.

But with the riots suddenly fucking "sex workers" seems to get a mention every 10 tweets which is fucking nutso. Many of these tweets come from self described sex workers involved in the movement which makes for a bizarre over-representation in a marxist coup.


As to the seeming disconnect between "sex work" being advocated while prostitution is generally frowned upon by these people, I think the link you are missing is that when most of them say "sex worker" they mean "strippers".

I'm half guessing and half basing it on the fact that the people showing up as "sex workers" in the protest context are strippers. The guess part is based on the narrative out of feminist circles some years ago pushing burlesque as a liberating and empowering thing for women to do.

It wouldn't shock me to learn that the definition of burlesque has gotten permissive enough to just include strippers given the genesis of the ideological support comes from burlesque specifically as far as I can tell.


As to why it's suddenly front and center now, my guess is a combination of lot of strippers may be out of work due to COVID and onlyfans isn't paying the bills for the majority of them, so the ideological money train of woke money shuffling probably has appeal.

Combine that with pre-existing sex worker advocacy usually being in far lefty circles already and thus likely agreeing with rioters to begin with and the intentional propaganda use of sex workers by commies others have posted about (commies trying to use sex workers as a draw to bring young men into the fold) but I'm unclear about how widespread that intentional propaganda aspect is.

So I can see a trail of breadcrumbs but I don't know that all of that completely explains the rapid rise in prominence that strippers have seen in protest circles because it is disproportionate as FUCK.

Sorry for the wall of text, I'm kinda spitballing here, and this topic stuck out to me as to singular in this particular vortex of shit.

Also, it's easier to believe that commie bullshit will work when your means of making a living is literally having money thrown at you. No need to understand how substantial goods are actually made, and the level of coordination and effort required to keep it all running.
