A little OT but funny: When caller ID first arrived, the phone company gave me a caller ID phone if i'd subscribe. One day I got a call from someone who said he was from a polling company and would I answer some questions. I, being young and stupid, agreed. They ran me through the whole thing, then asked me what city I lived in. I told him and he said, oh, no, we already have too many people from there, sorry to have taken up your time. Well, I thought about this for awhile and to amuse myself several hours later called the number on caller ID. They answered and I said I was hoping that someone from my city had dropped out so my answers to their poll would get used. They totally freaked out. How did I get this number? No one is supposed to call this number! (So why the fuck did you answer it, then?) It disordered them. Stupid bastards had never heard of caller ID.
Since then, fucking with polling companies has become a minor hobby if mine. It never fails to satisfy. If you can do voices and accents, it's even more fun.

Well no one would’ve died because they would be using realistic standards to determine what a “covid death” is. For example: a type 1 diabetic could get covid and as a result their blood sugars would get really fucked up (like they tend to when they’re sick) and cause them to die of diabetic ketoacidosis but that would be a covid death.

Someone verify this? The news article was erased and snopes says it did not happen.

What I remember was the train that hit a garbage truck not long after the Congressional baseball game shooting.
GOP lawmakers were on that train, one person died (a police officer), and it hit a fucking GARBAGE TRUCK. There were rumblings then of some shady shit just because of the timing and the political persuasions of the passengers, just like the baseball game.
