It's definitely a useful tactic for causing a huge amount of damage and taking it out against conservatives. It's also a sort of area denial, like think of it, if Trump ever needs to declare the Insurrection Act on the West Coast, these thugs just lit fires along the major highways like Interstate 5 and some of the east-west mountain roads, like notice that two of the roads between Portland and Bend are epicenters of major fires. Doing that would slow down any federal response and buys them more time to have their CHAZ II and more practically get their leaders and assets out of the country.

Honestly, for most folks, 9/11 often feels like a somewhat sanctimonious day whose impact has been lost over the course of time. For many people, it's just a day like any other.

Yet ambivalence is very different to open mockery or belittlement. Edgy and cynical humor regarding 9/11 has always been around on the internet, but it's distinctly escaped the realm of the normal and mundane. Yet this is... in effect a massive social movement whose success is predicated on garnering and fostering the sympathy of the masses, which is now making a massive argument that smacks as tasteless. That is offputting even to people who are otherwise wholly ambivalent.

Really, it's unfortunate that Holocaust Remembrance Day is the 27th of January - I'm really keen to see where twitter goes on that day.

We know they'll report on the gender reveal party crap but wildfire arson rarely makes national headlines and is buried in the local news. If you go looking for a certain type of story, you'll find it in spades. If I'm right, you'd see a similar amount of arson arrests on the West Coast every year around this time. The alternative is doxing anyone named in an arrest for wildfire arson and see what their political affiliation is. Since tweaker hobos started a bunch of these and tweaker hobos are stupid

The real dangerous ones would be if anyone can find out more about the powerline cutting and if that was widespread. Those would be more trained than tweaker hobo Antifa (who are more or less the same as the urban Antifa). Powerlines have been blamed for a lot of these fires and there were several days of very high winds on a lot of the West Coast which would be perfect cover if anyone wanted to cut a telephone pole or two.
