ATTENTION
Special rules for the Destiny thread.
  • Don't engage footsoldiers. Whiteknights do not need 100 responses to every bait post; exercise restraint. Do not give attention to people who join and bomb the thread with negative reactions.
  • Practice harm reduction. Read our prudent poster's guide.
  • Don't write open letters to Destiny. It is very annoying attention seeking behavior. Just write normal posts.
Yet far-lefties still won't learn that as soon as you piss off the machine, you're getting the axe as well.
Today it's his twitch, tomorrow you're getting lined up against the wall alongside the fash you hated...

But I hope it gets worse, I hope all these parasites eventually get deplatformed, regardless of political stance or lack thereof, I hope the very own fanbases they have fostered turn on them and eat them alive, leaving nothing but miserable walmart clerks reminiscing about how they "once kinda made it big".
They will. For them to even think corporations like Google or Amazon are going to just surrender their wealth so Pedro and Jamal can have a free ride in life and the revolution can succeed is inane.
As soon as they're no longer politically convenient, establishment politicians and major corporations will give them the boot and/or bullet as well.
They did it to Lincoln & Kennedy, you think you have a chance?

There will be no dissent allowed.

It's gonna take a long while, Destiny got banned for a "right wing" opinion which is pretty normal.
I think people are over analysing it. My own view is that Destiny got banned(ish) because the majority of twitch users think he's a cunt. Even people that agree 100% with his Kenosha takes are kind of amused by it. It's less to do with his political takes than the fact that people just don't like him on a personal level.

Destiny has a solid core of fans, which he's developed over years, and they'll stick with him. Also weasel that he is, I think he's being planning for this. He can still stream on Twitch but now he's got the excuse to more actively promote the off site Paypigery.

Incidentally I know Piker is meant to be the bigger earner of the two. I suspect some of that is down to Destiny having other payment processing options.

Does anyone know if destiny.gg hosts original content? As in are there videos hosted there that were never shown on any other platform?

He's been hated for years now, since he has many hot takes and burns bridges easily. Reminder that Twitch stood by when he had a hot take on MrMothman ostensibly beating his wife, when he said it's ok to kill conservatives, when he did his incest and cp debates and when he argued for saying nigger in private - all those garnered him a lot of hate and turned many people within his community and on Twitch overall against him. He got a ban here and there (usually for stuff irrelevant to his hot takes), but kept his partnership. So you could argue it's been a long time coming, but the fact that out of all these it was the right wing-ish opinion that tipped the scales is still telling.

D.gg doesn't host any original content. Its stream is basically carbon copy of Twitch, with added benefit of being able to feel superior to Twitch peasant for having opened a site and signing up there

It’s because next time there’s an alt right neo Nazi mass shooter Twitch was hosting content encouraging it you troglodyte
I found that quite hard to understand, and I probably spend longer trying to read it than you did writing it.

I'm not defending Destiny, but I think he's aware of the dangers of video being clipped out of context. If someone wanted to, they'd struggle to clip a video of Destiny defending the Kenosha shooter, without it being clear he was basing it on clear self defence grounds.

Even with his so called 'calls to violence' against the rioters, he's careful to be very specific about who he means, and that any action should be within the law.

It's pretty clear to me now at this point that no one is safe anymore and it's open season for Big Tech now.

This is no longer even about purging the Far-Right from their platforms (because they are gone from these online platforms for the most part), this is now about Big Tech going mad with power now.

So while I still think Destiny is a dumb lefty, he's now a victim of Big Tech's purges in their never ending power grabs at this point anyway.

It's clear to me that it doesn't even matter if you're the biggest lefty Tumblr SJW that wants people to use your own preferred pronouns because you're also not safe either because if you say the wrong thing, do the wrong thing, and post the wrong thing just once that Big Tech finds 'problematic' then at that point you're gone then.

So I expect even more lefties to now feeling the wrath from Big Tech later on then. It doesn't matter who you are anymore, piss off Big Tech just once and it's over for you anyway.

This is what people tried to warn these lefties for years and now they're going to get a taste of their own medicine then.

So at this point, we've come full circle now.

This is why I can't wait for the Internet to finally be fully decentralized later on then to stop this kind of censorship in the first place anyway.

It is what it is then.

Such is the plight of the fool.

The idea that Twitch demonetised him because everybody knows he’s a dick is ridiculous. It’s quite clear that they don’t want to cop flack next time there is a mass shooting. He’s inciting the worst kind of political violence that exists: the kind committed by right-wing white men.

Destiny is a Biden supporter, and was singing Kamala Harris's praise as a VP nominee. One of the few left wing online commentators I've seen to do either.

It's just strange to me, that Twitch is siding against an establishment Dem supporter, against people that would happily see them lined up against a wall.

You could at least put some some sense of effort into your "trolling"

This never would've happened to a big, beautiful lesbian woman of color. Don't switch games, switch genders you pathetic manlet.

You must be this tall to stream:

Here's my take:

As much as I usually sympathize with most any content creator who gets deplatformed for petty shit, I can never sympathize with far-left creators who get banned or demonetized. Simply put, when others get banned/demonetized, it's always the leftists who are so smug and vocally arrogant about their loss, who then turn to Twitter to post cancerous garbage like ironic use of "learn to code!", "hey bro, that's the free market!", "welcome to capitalism!" or the inevitable "just start your own platform!" . They're never sympathetic, and they never help out with getting their channels back. All they do is shrug and and rub salt in their wounds while they can get away with murder as long as Susan is on their side.

See, people like Leafy or Mumkey had their hits or misses in terms of their original content, but regardless if you loved or hated either of those two dudes, I was absolutely appalled at their bans, simply because I felt they were unjust...not to mention the fact that prior to their bans, they didn't usually rub it in other peoples' faces when they'd get demonetized. Leafy and Mumkey were fairly apolitical as far as I know, and they would never tweet in glee of someone else's channel getting shut down. Hell, even the gnome Keemstar actually goes out of his way to help out channels who get strikes or bans when there's enough attention drummed up. But as for leftists on social media: they're ALWAYS THE MOST vocal about insulting people who get banned...ALL OF THEM! Fagtano, Ethan Klein, Vaush, Shoe, Carlos Maza, Quinton, and yes, Destiny. So when they lose their platform? HA-FUCKING-HA.

You get what you deserve.
Can you even call Destiny far left? He's more like center-left. Property/capital owners tend not to be commies.

I think Destiny is retarded in a lot of ways but he's smart enough to at least give himself an out in case he got fucked like this with everything else he's set up over the years. He's one of the few people who can make these blunders and end up taking a hit to his income that isn't all of it, almost every other Twitch/YouTube content creator just does dumbass shit then gets banned/demonetized/whatever and cries about it on twitter for like a month until they fade into obscurity or disappear entirely.

Yet far-lefties still won't learn that as soon as you piss off the machine, you're getting the axe as well.

If you say something out of line, you are no longer left-wing and are actually a right-winger in disguise.
but let's be honest, it's the same in the opposite direction

The far-left has never really liked him anyway, since he's openly anti-commie and used gamer words. And he's been openly antagonistic to the right for just as long. He had a couple months where he got a few nice articles written about him for bashing some right-wing guys, but I don't think the PTB have really ever been on "his side".

I mean, he's been banned from Twitch...six times? Seven? Probably more, tbh, for everything from accidental nudity to calling people faggots to (inexplicably) bomb threats. He's been suspended from Twitter repeatedly. There's a reason he started developing revenue streams off-site; he's known for years that he could get perma-banned at any moment.

I still remember when Destiny got pissed one stream and said that preemptively mass killing conservatives was justified because they may commit hateful violence.

Two fucking years later he says a white boy was allowed to defend himself from violent attacks and only then does Twitch think he’s gone TOO FAR.
