I live in a major city, so its full of retarded minorities that vote blue no matter who, and I dont think about it. Take solace in knowing theirs a shit-ton of red flyover country that's heavily armed.
I live in a blue pocket of red flyover; red flyover is sparsely populated, less economically advantaged, and has zero power. If you think red areas will rebel and you think it won't look like Ruby Ridge or something you're sorely mistaken. Might be better to LIVE there, but don't expect the red states to be the impetus for change.
Everyone talks about these things like they're big news events that come and go, but this is a fundamental, and terrifying, shift in society. Does the news media even mention riots anymore? You get these slanted propaganda takes of police killing minorities in a 2001 "Summer of the Shark" hullabaloo where a slow news season (other than the whole Gary Condit and Chandra Levy before 9/11) exaggerates the frequency of an event for whichever reason. If you forgot, 'summer of the shark" was endless news media reports of shark attacks, but statistically shark attacks were FEWER in 2001 than in fewer years--even with the greater focus on reporting shark attacks due to the mania. The media establishes false regularities by showing every instance this happens, making people think it's happening in much greater numbers (and often exaggerating or lying along with it), preying on the "availability heuristic" to shape people's beliefs and behavior.
So what does this mean for us or you? Not even politically, but on the most basic and real human level, the personal level?
Many of the things I'm interested in seem to primarily attract SJWs and liberals. It'd be fine sharing hobbies with people I don't see eye-to-eye with politically, but liberals are insufferable, intolerant, and mean, and while conservatives can be closed minded and ignorant, if you make it clear you still respect them despite the difference of beliefs they'll soften up (many of them have been hardened by liberal interolance). I like older music, for example, a lot of new wave and post-punk. The music forum here is actually pretty great, and I have a feeling my fellow old-music fans feel similarly; music communities are dominated by the woke.
You remember my doomering earlier in this thread? My spicy black pills? Well, soon after I reconnected with a girl I had liked, a lot. To make a long story short, a girl that hated politics suddenly starting talking about Trump, mail-in ballots, and Nancy Pelosi, and freaked out on me about not knowing what was doing on. My own prophecies came true in my own life. Suddenly the only woman I thought I could really connect with was just one of them. (It turns out she was abusive and shit as well, so I dodged a bullet, but the point remains.)
This social change, these riots and what they mean for our culture, are devastating. It's like some stupid final fantasy video game where the entire world is being taken over by a cult. So many people you used to know have transformed, old friends, lovers, etc, swallowed up by the mania. You either join yourself, as many of the weaker minds have by now, or you resist and remain in relative isolation. It's fucked up. You will be alone, you will have to hide in plain sight. You will fear for your job, you will be publicly ostracized, your lovers will turn your back on you and possibly even your family will try to destroy you. These people are modern day bolsheviks.
This isn't all liberals but a sizeable majority of them. The only reason the Democrat party is putting forward a white man again for POTUS is because 1) they think he'll be out or step down during his term for his black woman running mate, who is unpopular on her own merits and cannot win due to her past of harsh marijuana law enforcement and 2) the political parties work with mutual back rubs, favors, and sweetheart deals, and the old guard there is still in power and still running on old fuel not yet fully catching up to the times as favors and power plays are still being called in and put into place.
SUBSEQUENT EDITS:
I remember the collective lobotomy after 9/11/2001 and the wall-banging frustration from trying to convince people there are no WMD in Iraq, that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, that we shouldn't pull anything more than Gulf War II, that Iraqis are not our friends nor want "freedom & democracy" on tanks, etc. ad nauseum. Wasn't that different from today. Even got branded a traitor for not wanting America to destroy itself. After a while you shrug and live to see whatever new ludicrous thing happens next.
I don't think Iraqis "aren't our friends," I think you'd find most of them are not fans of our government but are okay with regular citizens, if not wary. Probably similar to China and the Chinese actually, except less brainwashed by their government since China is unified (or strives to be) in a way Iraq never could get down even with massacring Kurds and such.
You might want to reconsider those folks. They aren't they simpletons the MSM makes them out to be.
This is part of my family and people around me. I never said they were simpletons; I just don't have as much in common with them. I think your average millennial liberal woman is a simpleton; you talk to them and you get a baby's mind full of pop culture.
