Haven't you heard the narrative? They were booing the one Trump supporter in the audience. They're all sick and tired of living in Trump's America, where racists rule the roost and have stalled social progress for the past 40 years.Perhaps optimistic, but the pushback from the fans that booed is telling. The more BLM and other stuff permeates people's entertainment and recreational activities, the more sick and tired they get of it. If the NFL plans to be like other sports and allow kneeling and BLM/SJW messages on fields or uniforms, they just might see a huge drop off of viewership by the time the Super Bowl is played. A drop off for the Super Bowl could be more inevitable if the match-up is unimpressive, most of the multi-million dollar commercials are blah, and -- Godbear forbid -- the halftime show includes a political pro-BLM/SJW statement.
Yet another example, sadly, of "You can have your opinion, it just has to be like everyone else's."
This is probably more meta/OT, but is there any sort of replacement for Snopes that debunks internet hoaxes/myths without leaning too far in any particular direction?
I think someone largely answered this, but the snack vans appear to be a front for more surreptitious stuff. To an unknowing outsider, each van looks like any other food truck that provides food, beverages, etc. to people. What they might not realize is that these snack vans also include stuff to help further the rioting such as weapons, ammo, etc. In the case of the Portland Snack Van, it looks like drugs were also available -- whether they were being given to others or solely for Snack Van Guy's personal use -- based on his run-in with Idaho authorities.
Another example that comes to mind is the (now defunct?) rib van. At one point in this thread, someone posted the operating entity's spreadsheet of income and expenses. Ribs and food made up just 2% of the expenses; most of the money going out was reported as donations with no further detail or breakdown of who received the donated money. It was both alleged and suspected here that these donations were some combination of money given to freedom funds/the NLG and a mutual circle jerk where people/groups would donate the same money back and forth to each other a la Patreon and other online donation platforms.
