Top quality post but I'll disagree with this point here. I don't actually think Dick is a private pedo even for lolicon. I think it's just evidence of his other traits you mentioned. Remember, he just recently had it out with Null on-air about pedophilia and suddenly Cuties comes along to hold him to task. He's both parts stubborn and stupid in that he now views this as his opportunity to "remain true to his values" or not appear like a hypocrite (as if it'd be hypocrisy to be against this obvious exploitation). More accurately, though, I think it's really just him desperate to not prove Null correct.

Funny memes aside, his stalwart defense of Cuties probably comes from that reason, that if he caves into rationality and basic morality now he would be ceding ground and having to admit fault. I agree with the general sentiment if not the specific case. As Andy, retard that he is, and Josh have rightly pointed out, the movie meets 5 of the 6 legal standards for child pornography, with the 6th being a matter of argument. He’s acting as if a legal ambiguity is a moral absolute.

He's acting as if something's actual or even arguable legality somehow creates an obligation to endorse the thing itself and aggressively defend it against all attackers and even critics as if it were a virtuous maiden or some shit. His white knighting of this and of DigiPedo and of the Gunt is disgusting.

One of the things that really kills me about this (and this doesn't just apply to Dax) is that we've had kind of a national tragedy/fear of chomos in the wake of the Epstein case, and the now ongoing case with his female pimp Ghislaine Maxwell. This was and is a HUGE issue for the left, right, and center, because no one wants Elite wealthy sickos to be freely raping kids. The only people defending Cuties are basically either closet pedos, or huge esjay-autismos. (Harvey Weinstein as well as Nickelodeon's Dan Schneider were also extremely recent sex abuse cases in Hollywood. There's Kevin Spacey, hell Roman Polanski... Just to name a few. A lot of people are immediately looking at Cuties, and in their minds are thinking "Epstein" or "sex trafficking" simple as. People are coming from a completely rational place to be upset. Artistic expression is absolutely worth defending. However, if that art comes at the expense of those who don't have the power to defend themselves, it is not worth defending. If a teenager's life can completely change because their yearbook picture was posted to Reddit, imagine the impact of clips like that being on a platform with over 180 million subscribers. If an art piece does that, it does not deserve to exist.

I think it was more specifically about whether it makes you a pedo at all, as AnOminous alluded to a pedo is a pedo is a pedo. I think ultimately it was about whether Digi is a pedophile and if Dick is associating with a pedophile. Even if 70% of guys who watch loli aren’t pedophiles all it takes is for Digi to be a pedophile or for people to think loli = pedo and Null was right in the main point of his call in.
