Believe me, I know what it's like to have close loved ones who have been brainwashed by what is essentially the shoddy sequel to Christianity but there's a part of me that thinks the summer of 2020 might just be the Woke Left's swan song like the Bush years were for the Religious Right or the chaos of the early 70's were for the New Left.
Have you noticed that this "Current Year" nonsense has pretty much lasted a decade as it is and that the intensification seemed to get steady and then it all happened way too fast all at once this year thanks to COVID-19?
This could be a case where they've overplayed their hand and are about to get their asses kicked by the ones truly in charge. I had been low-key predicting this since the latter half of 2019 but the unexpected pandemic and the George Floyd riots did shake me. Back in May and June, I still held to that belief but a lot of it was cope and if it weren't for the Section 230 and Antifa terrorist designation by the DOJ, I probably would've gone full doomer and overdosed on black pills.
But now things really have gone pear-shaped for BLM and Antifa, and I think the real white pill moment for me was seeing an IRL friend of mine who is notoriously left-leaning secretly bitch about BLM to me.
She doesn't know I'm anti-BLM or anti-Antifa and I just do the bare minimum to like the statuses on social media or whatever to avoid the wrath of the cancel mobs, but I've known her since I was a teen and she asked if I could keep a secret. Basically she was saying that a lot of the Antifa and BLM types on social media are going crazy and she's worried they will get Trump a second term because of how out of control things are.
This is a girl I've known to be a leftist all my life and who leaned hard into SJW stuff when this all got big, and even she's getting scared by all this. Keep in mind that the leftists who are the most likely to be secretly opposed to all this tend to have the Bill Maher-esque view of the riots being counterproductive and helping get Trump elected.
I'd imagine there's a lot of the more center-left types who might say they're pro-riots online and may even support BLM on a certain level as a concept, but secretly are against the actions of BLM and Antifa even if it's just because they fear a crackdown or backlash come November
Demoralization is one of those things that cuts both ways, and if Trump can win a second term in spite of all this madness, I think that will be a huge blackpill moment for the Woke Left in and of itself. If the corporate bigwigs also begin to distance themselves from this insanity post-2020, that will be another demoralizing moment for them.

Eh, the nostalgia for the Soviet Union is a bit of a unique case where it's largely just the Russian equivalents of the Baby Boomers and older Generation X'ers who miss their youths mixed with wanting to go back to a time before the bad economy, political instability, and high crime of the Yeltsin Administration in the 90's.
The Millennials and Zoomers in Russia tend to have a more dim view of the Soviet era and tend to lean more right-wing since they were either just kids during the "Russian 90's" or they weren't alive at all.
Keep in mind that this shit pretty much has been going on for about ten years and it has gotten worse but 2020 has had so much black swan chaos factors that too much is happening too fast and it's very likely to cause the actual backlash.
Trump's 2016 election was more like a potential warning sign of a backlash than the start of an actual one, but if he wins 2020, expect a lot of the Boomers and Karens who actually run the country to clean house and realize that 2016 was not a fluke. Doubly so if Trump can get really lucky and pull a popular vote win on top of an electoral college win. This could end up being a 21st Century version of a timeline where Julian the Philosopher survived the Parthian Campaign and was actually able to send the Christians and Jews packing.

Also, from what I've seen, the female teacher/male student has usually been that "hot teacher and guy thinking with his dick" while most male teachers seem to go after younger students and go about it in a way where it's pretty clear that they're predators, and then you got the people who try to say that a teenager who gets involved is "still discovering themselves" to try and make it not look like a predator on the prowl for both genders.

As fun as it will be if Floyd was a snitch, I think Ian and others are jumping the gun by definitively calling him one. Not a lawyer, but the wording looks like what you see in public records requests where you have to ask broadly for any information the agency might have. The defense seems to have suspicions that Floyd was an informant and is trying to get information to confirm that. Let’s hope it is true!

As a general rule of thumb, there are two kinds of leftists who secretly are against the riots even if they say they support it online. Give me all the rainbow stickers you want, since this is based on my anecdotal experiences. As always, take my words with a grain of salt.
The first category are the simps who want to get laid or normies who are largely apolitical in real life but are bowing to peer pressure online
The second category are actual leftists who support the ideals of BLM and Antifa (or at least what the MSM says they are) but believe the riots are counter-productive and worry about Trump getting a second term because of this. I'd say if there is a silent majority, then both of these groups will tend to be a lot more quiet and numerous than they look, since nobody wants to be the one to get cancelled first.

I'm convinced that whoever designed the seating for MARTA train cars is either retarded or a one-legged person seeking to wreak vengeance against all those who dared taunt him in grade school. In each car, there are roughly six seats—all of them window seats rather than aisle seats—that are positioned perpendicular to a single "crippled person's" seat in front of them. Problem is, the wall behind the crips' seat juts out intrusively in such a way that you'd have to be under five feet tall for your window-side knee to fit in that tiny, cramped space near the window. Your aisle-side knee is fine, but it's almost as if a secret cabal of vengeful disabled urban planners is DARING you to sit there and try to fit your window-side knee in the allotted space. It is probably the most egregiously stupid example of urban design I've ever seen, and I've spent a lot of time in the urbs.
Clearly, this seat was not designed with two-legged human beings in mind.
MARTA reminds me of prison, except there are a lot more blacks on MARTA. Everyone's miserable and they don't want to be there, but precisely because of that, no one wants to make things worse with unnecessary drama or mayhem. It's a fucking cattle car, but nearly everyone is respectful of one another's space. Every time I've previously had to sit in the one-legged seat, the laws of geometry have forced me to angle both legs toward the aisle. Otherwise, I'd have to curl up in a fetal position in order to fit. And every time someone sits next to me while I'm in the one-legged seat, they respectfully tilt their asses and knees toward the aisle so that we can both sit in relative comfort. I do the same when I have to sit next to any unfortunate soul whose sad life trajectory has led them to sitting in the half-seat—my legs spill out into the aisle to allow them sufficient space.
I get on the train in Stone Mountain at the last Eastern stop on the East-West line. Most of the time, I'm the only white person in the car. By the time the train reaches downtown Atlanta, there are perhaps an additional two or three white people. Otherwise, it's a rumblin' vat of chocolate.
So when I alighted the train in Stone Mountain yesterday morning, the only open spot was a two-seater with the one-legged seat. So I sighed, crammed myself into the one-legger, and began reading yet another book about race.
Because I'm a fundamentally polite person until provoked, I graciously didn't stake a claim to the outside seat. I didn't want to be a DICK and force the next person to board the train to squeeze past me into that awful one-legger, which would have been the only remaining open seat. That would have been rude. So I sat stoically in the one-legger, the train car's aforementioned retarded architecture forcing my right knee to encroach ever-so-slightly upon the aisle seat's turf.
At the next stop, a white male who could roughly be described as an unpleasant fusion of hipster and office worker sits next to me. He immediately begins shoving my leg with his leg. I push back once. He pauses, then pushes back again.
"DON'T you fucking push me," I reprimanded him.
He pointed to the line between our two hard-plastic seats and demanded I keep my legs to the left of that line. I firmly told him that I wouldn't, because my seat was engineered so that my beefy left leg wouldn't fit there if I was to sit straight forward.
He pushed my leg again.
"LISTEN, you pussy BITCH," I told him, "you REALLY don't want to push me, OK?"
He placed his paperback book down on his seat and began seeking the help of an authority figure. For each of the next three stops, he'd peer out the open train doors beseeching the aid of a MARTA official. At the third stop, he spotted a MARTA worker and demanded that the train remain at the station until the authorities dealt harshly with me.
He was purposely holding up the train. I looked around and suddenly realized I had the support and sympathy of all the black passengers. And so I immediately clicked into class-clown mode.
"Do you BELIEVE this guy? I'd have to be an amputee to fit in this seat! This is the type of guy who'd raise his hand and tell the teacher she forgot to give us homework."
The blacks were laughing.
My white compatriot marched back with a fat black MARTA official. "He's shouted obscenities at me!" he whimpered.
"Yeah, I called him a DICK," I said so that everyone in the car could hear. "Everyone KNOWS you can't sit straight in this seat here. And everyone else is COOL about it. But he insists on trying to squash my legs against the window. Tell me he's NOT being a dick. Give me PROOF this guy isn't a dick."
Everyone laughed again. I believe I also heard a few approving "mm-hmmms."
The MARTA official told the douche there was nothing he could really do. Then he asked him if he wanted the police to handle it.
"PLEASE ask the police to handle it," I said, "because I'd bet they'd think he was being a DICK, too."
After a pause, my antagonist leaned in and said, "You're very lucky I'm not calling the police about this."
I loudly thanked him and said it was obvious he was a man of great compassion and forgiveness. Then, tail between his legs, he sprinted out of the train car at the next stop.
All of the blacks were laughing and nodding approvingly at me. I overheard a "That was ridiculous" and perhaps even a "WOOOO!"
It occurred to me that because of his attire and demeanor, the rude palefaced leg-jabbing poofter probably identifies as "liberal" and is vocally opposed to all forms of "racism" and bigotry. And here I am, with the phrase "Jim Goad racist" automatically appearing on Google when you type my name, GETTING ALONG WITH THE BLACKS. Me and the blacks, we've endured enough discomfort and hard knocks that we know how to act with mutual respect in a tightly packed crowd of sullen people. We all know that only someone with an arrogant sense of privilege would act like a DICK in such situations.
I respect modern blacks far more than I do modern whites. I don't have to listen to their music, embrace Islam, or accept their guilt-tripping in order to be cool to them. But this jagoff didn't have a clue about how to act. And me and the Original People shared a hearty laugh about it.

Afterwards, a mob of peaceful protestors stormed the hospital. Some broke in, police had to chase them out. Something that goes underreported is crimes against the US Food supply. I've been watching media doing backflips to try and paint the Oregon Wildfires as something other than arson. It's gotten to the point where they're denying arson could contribute to the spread of fire.
In the midwest, where wood fuel is not overabundant and land management is something people take seriously, the Communists have just been going around shooting cows.
Not just any cows, pregnant cows and prized bulls. It's not a full-scale assault, but it has the appearance of someone testing the defenses.
This is textbook Communist bullshit. They attack rural communities that would not agree with their politics while driving food scarcity. When you start to watch farm reports on sites like AgWeb and Drovers, you start to notice the dates line up closely with suspicious activity in the West. I suspect we're going to hear stories about fencing being destroyed in the next month, which is an important indicator. Steer tend to spread out when they graze, meaning there's only going to be so many close to roads. To really get at the beef supply, Communists need ATVs to they can cover long distances of rugged terrain. Anything they can do to pave the way will likely happen.
