If anyone's curious as to what happened with that shooting in Sacramento a few weeks back in this thread that got buried by the jogger shooting in DC that happened around the same time, this is what it ended up being. Armed white ex-con that did a drive by on an officer a month prior and barricaded himself claiming he wouldn't go back to prison ran headfirst into a perimeter officer and got domed for his trouble.

This is part of what has given me a sense of existential dread ever since Trayvon, but especially starting with St. Michael of Ferguson.

People are protesting against a justifiable shooting of an aggressive suspect who appears to intend the cops harm. I don't think these people realize what they're actually saying by doing this.

They're saying the cops aren't allowed to shoot someone charging with harmful intent. The excellent video posted by @Neanderthal Guru showing how quickly a knife wielder goes wrong is a case where these people knee jerk believe cops shouldn't be shooting. And that was a case where the cop was trying to de-escalate, let's not forget that.

This is the surface level though: when they protest cops shooting a suspect coming at them with ill intent, they're also saying YOU can't do that, without needing to actually say so.

And that is the scarier part to me.

After all if my dumb ass realizes this, someone or someones higher up the foodchain definitely does and says "yes, continue".

One of the streamers who seemed to be at least partly pro-blm was approached by a group of three or four blacks who started demanding he stop filming because 'they're using cameras to coordinate our movements' and then he tried to walk away, the black guys followed, the streamer yelled for help, and then a bunch of people mobbed him. He's back streaming now - franklin james davis is the guy who was attacked.

That's what happened at Kenosha IIRC. The actual peaceful protest leaders begged everyone to leave before curfew but plenty of trash stayed behind egged on by outsiders.
