Weeb Wars / AnimeGate / #KickVic / #IStandWithVic / #vickicksback - General Discussion Thread

Kinda funny how they gave the Uzaki-chan role to Monica Rial. Not funny as in weird, but funny haha as she really seems the type to morally grandstand about how offensive babyface girl with big honkers is to real women- but I guess she's no stranger to grifting on her beliefs for cash.

"Whether Vic did it or not is not relevant to the case"

I mean, it really is, but regardless in this case. Someone lied, whether that be Vic, or the defendants, which you have two stories to choose from. Vic which has had a good reputation and is adored by thousands of fans, or Monica that was his "Friend" for 20 years then suddenly stabbed him in the back when doing so became useful to her, along with other actors in this whole shit show. God I hope all claims come back on appeal.

Looked through Michele again and something catch my interest (and when I mean that I mean Ron kept plastering it)

Hey @Svetlana do you know anything about this or were you ask this before
I asked about the underage thing, cuz that would be a big no bueno for me. He denied ever doing anything inappropriate with a minor. I believe him because I know him quite well, and he came clean about a lot of things that he didn't have to - most of which was in the deposition and now the world knows.

I don't know about STC people. It's possible, but he's not going to break confidences even to me, and I would know those people. It wouldn't have been his story alone to tell.

If you recall, I was cc'd on this email and we discussed his response. He wanted to deny the wrong things, but more than that he wanted to apologize. So he did. At that moment, it was more about shame and sorrow for hurting her than setting any record straight. That's why he did not deny.

I like how he doesn't explain why Vic would have lost the case, even if he was the most innocent man in the world. It's more "take my word for it bro" from the Geico Caveman.

I have a feeling that he's the type of person who sees a defamation cause of action in a lawsuit and automatically assumes it's a frivolous lolsuit without looking further into it. Which makes him a dishonest lawyer, but I repeat myself.

He's definitely waived privilege for himself and possibly Monica. I'm skeptical about Ty's flex about him waiving privilege for everyone else. He'd better hope nothing comes back if he said anything self incriminating during what was confidential for his own protection. The dumb rat faced little cuck piece of shit completely blew what is otherwise ironclad confidentiality, just because he's that addicted to his insane tweeting.

I could see Ron bringing everyone in if the four parties negotiated jointly during the mediation, otherwise it really seems a stretch to pin the others through Ron's behavior. Ty would know how they cooperated/maintained independence as separate entities during mediation, so he could make the argument if they presented a united front.

If it gets to the point where Ty can even ask the question, i.e. it comes back on appeals, nothing lost in asking. If it's back on appeals, that means the TCPA fees aren't hanging over Vic's head and Ty's once again fully funded by weebbux.

If motion is denied, no biggie. If it's allowed... hoo boy.

Someone needs to throw Tyler Wolff into an opal mine. And make sure he gets stuck there.
Or get stabbed by some cunt with a syringe. I heard it's all the rage in kangarooland.

A friend of mine and I were talking about Weeb Wars and how these people are upset over contact with other people. A lot of them must have a hard time getting affection from other people be it in their family or with their friends.
But my friend pointed out if these same people would raise a stink about being "touched" by theme park characters in theme parks. Or if many of them scream assault afterward and go reeing to the park managers.
My friend also wondered how Ron Toye would act if he witnessed Monica being hugged by Mickey Mouse at Disney World or Disneyland if they ever went. Do you think the manlet sheepdog would try to hurt the poor kid in the costume or would he scream about how said person didn't get his permission to touch Monica and for good measure would he sit inside the building where meet and greets were taking place to ensure that everyone got his consent before going near characters to receive hugs and pictures. Since in Ron's little world people need Ron's permission for affection because it makes him feel uncomfortable.

Just like Scott Barretto, another key figure from the Funimation side of the case no longer works for their company (SONY in this case).

It looks like they're quietly removing the people who are liabilities just as has been predicted from the start. The only reasons Marchi and Monica are still getting roles are because the primary decider over most anime makes his decisions solely based on who gets his dick wet, and the people involved need to pretend those two are still 'thriving' despite lighting their careers on fire over petty grudges, else they can't dunk on Vic as effectively. (Also, arguably, firing them during litigation might be seen as an admission of guilt/wrongdoing and Funi is still running with covering for Monica's crap)

Win or lose, once the lawsuit is done, I imagine we'll see their roles abruptly dry up.

What?? Is that logic??

He could be innocent? He may or may not have done it?
We don't need to know it's a "woman in trouble?"

Then what does matter? What is he trying to say?

They seem to think that defamation literally isn't a valid cause of action.

And of course the fact that he didn't deny was used against him. It's one of their big proofs don't ya know.

Is it that, or is it that they're rubbing it in our faces that they can destroy the dub of some "creepy fanservice anime" and none of us can do anything about it?

Uzaki is probably anime of the season. That and the Demon King one, which I still can't tell if it's a parody or not.

It appears that Evan Stone is no longer with FUNimation.

There's our third instance confirmation.

Sony did a purge of Funimation during all this mess.

The reason rial and marchi haven't been fired (although I'm sure sexual favors and general cliqueness have helped) is cause they're far too public. They can fire Stone and denbow cause they're background nobodies that only autists like us would notice.

And while rial is getting a starring role in Uzaki Chan. It's far from a mainstream and popular show at least in the west. I know on the internet, due to the memes and non-troversies surrounding it, it seems like a much bigger deal than it is. It's a c tier show to them like hajimete gal and shit like that.

Still I think you're ultimately right that once the lawsuit legitimately ends they're both gonna see the roles dry up besides long running series where they'll keep the roles for a while. Although I'd love to be proven wrong on those exceptions.
