IMO it's the fact that Rowling has made all her money already that's making them seethe the hardest. Even if she never publishes again, she'll live a life of absolute luxury. Deplatforming her at this point means and does little.

The only real path they have left to get at her is pushing her comments as hate speech and attempting to have her jailed over it. (They're already screaming that this book is hate speech and she deserves to be arrested.)

I thought these people are too sensitive/ too busy with twitter/ too mentally deficient to read books, why do they pretend their opinion would affect J.K's sales and why do they think it's up to them to police writing?

They keep making comparisons to Buffalo Bill in the film The Silence of the Lambs, a fictional guy who was diagnosed as transgender but couldn't get the surgeries he wanted so he abducted women and tortured them into slathering lotion on themselves all day to soften up their skin, in preparation to kill them and make a skinsuit out of female human leather.

Just from the sound of it, the killer in this novel is a transtrender dude who pretends to be a woman so they'll be less wary of him, making them easier to prey on. Not sure how that'll be developed. It goes with JK Rowling being very untrusting of men in general, from what I've seen of her behavior.

I am so buying this. I might read it or I might just donate it to the local women's shelter, lol. If I really want to be shitty, I'll donate it to the LGBQT thrift shop that has the troon cashier that glares at every real woman that enters the place. I know it'd end up in the dumpster, but just the thought of the REEEEing that would cause would make it worth it.
