PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A man lost his left hand and was critically injured when a firework he was handling exploded. The incident happened on the 9100 block of Delaire Landing Road in the Torresdale section of Northeast Philadelphia, shortly after 12:30 p.m.

Police say a 41-year-old man was handling an M-series device when it exploded.
The man lost his left hand and he also suffered trauma to his chest, face and right hand.
He was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in critical condition and will be flown to Jefferson Main Campus.
The Bomb Disposal Unit is on location.
No other injuries were reported.

That's... not what I meant. If the presidential election is called into question, to the point that there's no president sworn in on by january, then the house elections will also be called into question for the same reasons.

The constitution does not provide any sort of succession or continuation of an incumbent representative's term in the case that an election is nullified or challenged. The election marks the end of their term; they have left the house, and they don't come back unless they win. If the election is challenged, then they either recount until a winner is decided, or they run it again until someone wins. In the meantime, that seat in the house is unoccupied.

If the presidential election is challenged to the point that no president is sworn in by January, then every election in the house will be equally challenged, because they're taking place on the same day, and are more than likely on the same ballot, and so they will have the same challenge-worthy issues.

If the House elections are challenged to that point, then Pelosi can't do shit. She won't be speaker, because she won't have been elected, and she can't just hang around and pretend, because her previous term is up. The House will be unoccupied. No President Pelosi.
