Should be noted that if you think that, you should note that empires do not collapse in peace - the talk of civil war is wildly and mindbogglingly early on an optics level, judging from the situation (even previously when places like Weimar Germany saw this sort of thing, it never materialized into revolution, instead materialized into the far-right seizing electoral power 6-7 years later - although one could flip the script in Russia, one has to remember Russia had just been horribly mauled in the first world war, and sat with a tattered economy and a tattered working class that appealed to Communist rhetoric.) but to state that this situation is just going to last forever, and magically recover and revert to the status quo, lol why would you want that to happen?
Why would you want the reset button to be hit so we could explore these episodes ad infinitum over and over again? Do you honestly believe that this sort of thing happening, over and over again, does not eventually lead to civil collapse? Eventually, something's gotta give and that's just the way it is - far-left radicalism, the hatred of white folk, etc. none of this is going anywhere, and if anyone thinks it is, then you're a naive moron who knows next to nothing about reality; a line has been drawn in the sand (not by decent people, no) and while it may take a good long while for that line to be muddied and crossed, eventually it has to be crossed.
I do not, in any sense, see how anyone can look at the current United States and our current demographics and find that 'sustainable' for the next twenty years, economically or sociopolitically - degeneracy escalates more and more by year, tensions escalate more and more by year, and now they're at a fever point to the point where millions are now ideologically indoctrinated into believing this shit and millions more of normal Americans genuinely believe they're fighting nazis, and genuinely believe they are living in a pre-nazi dictatorship and that black people are a holy fulcrum of everything wrong this country has ever done.
You talk about the millions of Americans who've had enough of this shit - yes, there are also millions of Americans who believe these people are right, who believe the GOP is a fascist institution, and believe that in order for this country to sustain itself, the right has to be wiped away from politics..you think because the protests are small, their numbers are small? No, the fuck they aren't, lol - look on social media (can deflect this, sure, but the reality is the average person of today on both sides uses social media in some frame, and it's a good way to acquire samples of demographics and their beliefs collectively.), look around you in any blue metropolitan area in this country, etc. the vast majority of their supporters may not gun up and march out into the street, but they're still fully complicit and fully supportive of this shit. Do you think they have NO military support? My fucking God, dude, the U.S. military is the most ideologically divided institution in the country - gangbangers, nazis, commies, etc. and you think all of them are going to join hands and sing kumba-fucking-ya during breakdown and stand with the government?
We have reached an impasse, a cultural and sociological impasse - these attitudes are not going to magically change in a year, these sentiments are not going to magically change in a year; make no mistake that it is indeed foolish and almost fucking soap opera to talk about civil war a year into civil unrest, but also make no mistake that something is going to have give, eventually, whether you like it or not - you can look at it as a cat out of the bag, or a train with no brakes, but either way, the fucking road has been paved.
Empires collapse - no empire collapses in peace, rainbows, and harmony; we will go, step-by-step, the way every other empire has gone.
