It's quite ironic, one of the big arguments against most microtransaction systems being gambling is that they don't actually have any real world value. The value that Steam inventory items have actually make them way more like gambling than just about any other system.

It even made some of them legally regulated under European law, and Valve had to do some wild shit to get around it.

When your account is monetized, each video you upload is automatically monetized (unless something trips youtube's filters), you have to go and disallow ads on videos or else it's just, y'know, automatic.

I'll be the devil's advocate and say that joe, being the impulsive man he is, probably rushed through the video's upload and legitimately didn't realize he'd monetized it until after people started to point it out.

And then his stupid pride made him deny he ever did.

Joe's losing his shit over people booing a NFL game because players are kneeling for BLM, this has now spiralled into into a slap fight with the Quarter Pounder and Grummz. It's as autistic as you would expect from him.

See if Joe wasn't Channel Autism through and through this could have been a good topic for a livestream. See, those games are simulation. I remember back when I used to buy those games they had a lot of trendy shit in there just for the sake of having it and staying true to some irl stuff, (like a victory dance or a taunt). So a good question would be how much realism do we actually need? Should we have face masks, no live audience, BLM kneeling if it happened irl or does the simulation ends where the game ends? But nah... "BLM good. Joe REEEE!"

I don't blame Joe for hating his audience tbh. People who follow 'angry gamer' outrage channels are probably the most retarded demographic on the internet. He's gotten to the age where he doesn't really care about video games that much anymore, but he's forced to pander to perpetually offended gamers because that's how he makes a living.

I do, I think if he tried to continue to make content to the same standard as before but try to branch it out towards movies and other shit his fans probably would've been ok with it. The problem is he decreased his standards and went and made movie podcast type shit with his friends while basically bashing his fans for not just accepting it.

Also I'd say that just because your fans can be annoying doesn't mean you have to make trash content. Look at the Beatles for example, they got sick and tired of dealing with their annoying teenage fangirls. So they stopped touring and then took advantage of the time and resources gained, as well as not needing to make it playable live, and managed to continue making all time great albums. Also when they got sick and tired of dealing with each other's shit they quit and went their own ways. If Joe had any wit he could've figured out and taken advantage of the situation, or at the very least could've figured out if he was over his head in shit and ended on a high note.
