General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Attempt to hop on and fail, you mean.
Seething trannies and skanks aside, something extremely significant about HoloEN is that they actively took stances against dipshit Twitch culture.
Watson pretended to not know what pog was, while Gura read simp and immediately played it off for a shrimp joke.

I'm sure it was a gamble for 5 that they picked out of thousands of applicants, but today the EN girls got superchat enabled and raked in over $90k USD.
Whatever black magic YAGOO is using, he'll truly be the one to have the last laugh.

If senzawa's ifunny account is anything to go by, it's probably killing Gura to not say or acknowledge "pog" and "simp" on stream.

I wonder when we're going to see some Hololive figurines up for sale. I'd certainly burn a hole in my wallet for a good quality Suisei figure.

Pardon if this is somewhere in this thread as I just skimmed through the highlighted posts, but does anyone know what software these people are using to do this? Seeing as how Twitch streamers with animated avatars yet with less than a hundred people watching the stream are rapidly becoming a dime a dozen, I'd have to imagine the software to do this at passable quality is pretty affordable.

I first encountered translated clips of Korone playing one of the old Doom games a few months ago which were kinda fun to watch - she seemed to be having genuine fun slaying zombies. From her I found that dragon that speaks English suspiciously well and some of the clips of her trying to teach English to other vtubers were funny. Didn't follow them or anyone else since, but then Eekum Bokum happened…

Somewhat related, but is anyone else just IMMEDIATELY repulsed by Anime YouTubers? Very few are not like, 2016 era sort of dated, embarrassing as shit content creators. This is all somewhat related because people of this group cover Vtubers, and shit like Brittany's vitriolic video intended to get attention, that they give attention. Rev Says Desu, Hero Hei; all those sorts of people.

Even the ones who don't cover that stuff like Lost Pause and Nux Taku just make me reel back in shame. Only ones I respect are Gigguk and that one Australian Japanese guy who may very well be the exact same person I just mentioned prior. Other than that? They should stick to Twitter. Would work way better there. But we all know you don't get paid to post on Twitter. Here's to hoping none of them make situations worse for any of Hololive EN.

I looked it up once and ran across some interesting pictures of their likely 3D setup that stuck with me; there are no interesting 2D setups, it's literally just an iphone for capture, FaceRig+Live2D for rigging, standard other software for streaming.

I'm not sure what level of sophistication they have going on in their 3D streams but it seems like the motion capture suits and space helmets are a common theme. No wonder Luna broke her damn neck pratfalling with that thing on.

I'm quickly learning a few things:
1. Never let Haachama near a kitchen.
2. Never let Sakura Miko be near anything flammable.
The Vietnam flashbacks from Haachama's cooking streams are coming back. AkiRose streamed with an Indie VTuber, and both of them got sloshed to Hell and back.
Also, the girls of HoloID are pretty cool as well. It helps that all three of them live together.
Saku got anal beads.
Someone got ran over twice.
Suisei plays ding dong ditch while living in the Holohouse.
4th generation and 5th generation collaborate.
Moona and Iofi invade the Hololive Minecraft server.
A Hololive meme meets some friends.
I watched this in real time and it was a great experience.

No idea who made this takeoff on The Onion's editorial cartoon parodies but

Levels of cope are off the fucking charts
Filthy nijifags propaganda

I was also doubting they could pull it off, but thankfully all of them speak very good english, we have reached the point where the japaneses are actually giving a crap about learning english just for them and channel that subs clips of them to japanese have appeared by the dozen, they are very into the shark for some reason

YAGOO explains it in this interview, something about animoji face tracking software on the iPhone X for their every day streaming. And they have to go into the studio for the fancy 3D streams. It doesn't sounds like they need any special rigs for the iphone.
It being just a phone leads to interesting headslams when the vtuber's phone has a shit stand and falls over like Sora's has done a few times.

https://twitter.com/Athena_Bambina/status/1305967332720865280 Has anyone talked about this yet? Seems some black cosplayers and vtubers are going after this low level vtuber over this video.
I fuckin' hate her so much. It is so reddit tier, holy fuck. Why are a lot of english vtubers like this? Are Japanese vtubers the same and the only reason why I don't notice is because they are speaking Japanese?

Though I hope her audience grows despite the twitter outrage.

It was fun while it lasted, now everything will just be forced recycling which was bad enough when its was the girls/guys playing the exact same solo games separately. Who needs things to happen naturally when you can just force it because you saw a popular clip and thought "HEHE I can do this too!". With gatekeeping there needs to be an electric current going along it as well.
