Honestly, if I wasn't for the fact that I worry I'd be hit up for cash halfway through, I would totally go to a Dashcon 2.
No joke, I think it'd be fascinating as hell. Watching all these deranged little goblins interacting with humans in person, possibly for the first time in months, would be so interesting. It's the ultimate people watching experience. You could be the one sane person in the room, silently observing the Tumblrinas in their element. You could listen to a panel of crazy people agreeing with crazy people, witness the epic hissy fit of two otherkin who identify as the same homestuck character, then retire to the lobby to watch them scream at a hotel employee for calling a buffalogendered person "sir".

Also, ED says this is an all internet covention, but a convention for both 4chan and tumblr in one room obviously won't go well.

I have a feeling putting 4chan and Tumblr users in the same con would quickly degenerate into an all-out brawl and then into a gang war. The body count would reach triple digits in less than an hour, and the national guard would have to be called in to break up the fighting with armored vehicles and tear gas.

Tumblr users are cowards, and proud of it.
Channers are also cowards, but they understand cowardice is contemptible, so they talk big to hide it.

In a way, I'm sad. That con was one of the funniest things that happened in 2014 and I spent a solid two days laughing at it.
 
DashCon was indeed one of the funniest things to happen in 2014. Kinda bummed it won't be back for more hilarity.
 
I wish that I could save 25% on random things in my day to day life by just going "yeah sure whatever I'm a dragon or something, just apply the coupon code so I can go".
 
Hey all, sorry for Necro'ing an old thread, but earlier today I was thinking about how to compare the SJW-culture to the Dashcon ballpit, when I realized that indeed, I hadn't checked on its status in a while and if they decided to stop beating a dead horse.

Turns out they haven't. And moreso, just by chance, today they announced their first celebrity appearance...

Brenden Frasier.

Good GodBear. This guy's track record recently is just a constantly sinking hole. I thought for sure he's show up in gay porn first, but no sir, he's going for broke.
