I'm guessing because the shield makers were arrested by the feds. Also, umbrellas are cheaper and they don't have to Venmo for materials.

This zone has been present for months, I have been posting about it. The media is just now catching up because city council members cried about it.

Already happened. To a pregnant woman, no less. There have been countless shootings in that area since the riots. The only reason anyone is paying attention to this zone now is that city council started crying about it publicly. There have even been local stories about police not being able to respond to that area. Nobody cared until now.

They did at one point, I'm not sure why they're not using them now. I guess everyone involved in making them got partyvanned.

Sounds to me like the city council should have taken a moment to ponder upon the consequences of their retarded decisions.

But I know that's asking too much.

They turned around and renamed part of Chicago Avenue to something about Fenty Floyd the very next day. So yeah, they will never reflect on the havoc their decisions have caused.

I found something interesting about Cup Foods tonight. They had their business licenses suspended for six months in 2000 after Minneapolis Police conducted several controlled narcotics buys inside the store and found drugs, guns, and bulletproof vests in the store. Then they sued the city for suspending their licenses.
