And right on cue Pounder made a video crying about getting a copystrike.

You'd cry too if you were too fat to see your own dick when you look down, your wife is talking to and possibly fucking a divorce lawyer, and you couldn't be bothered to figure out how to do proper beard hygiene. He looks like he's literally about to cry in that pathetic thumbnail
Quarter-Pounder made a video on the Tik Tok ban. He has actually fallen for the narrative that it’s being banned because Trump got trolled and not because of it being a national security threat.
just watching it now. You'd think after someone stole his branding images for Exclusively Games, Jeremy would be a bit understanding towards someone protecting their artwork like this. But from calling them a kid and assuming their only reason is to take advantage of the copyright system, Jeremy pretty clearly has no remorse for what he did. At the end of the day, he took someone's original artwork and used in in a monetized video without permission or payment of anykind. Maybe the next time his cringe editor makes an intro, he should probably not just steal images.
Edit: He tells his viewers not to dogpile the artist but that's very clearly what he wants by sharing his online username and making the absurd claims that I listed above.
Edit 2: God, Jeremy even uses the fact that he's "friends" with IAG as a means to question the takedown. Like it absolves him from any wrong doing because he's friends with someone depicted in a piece of artwork neither owned or commissioned.
Edit 3: Looks like the artist has been getting dogpiled, as expected, and put Jeremy on ignore when he tried contacting on Twitter.
Even IAG himself knew to ask permission first before reusing artwork.
just watching it now.
Hes correct, it is fair use, to be honest. He'll win in court.
Although it kind of funny hes just made a video telling people to go through his videos and strike him if they find images they can claim if they dont like him.
Only 2 strikes to go! I hope someone does that, thatll be hilarious.
This dude and his fanabse are the biggest bunch of fucking sissies on the planet. You'd think after someone stole his branding images for Exclusively Games, Jeremy would be a bit understanding towards someone protecting their artwork like this. Edit 4: Lots of edits here, apologies. I just hate double-posting unless it's important.
So on Jeremy's Discord, the takedown is being widely discussed. However, a user noted how Jeremy's response video could actually deal him more damage in court and a moderator actually asked them to stop talking. When asked to clarify, the moderator was only asking that one user to stop discussing the takedown and was fine with everyone else discussing it. Once again, Jeremy's community is all for free speech until said speech is something they don't wanna hear.
Meant to say this earlier, but I can see Jeremy having his editor refrain from using fan-art completely going forward. You could already see in his response video that he was concerned about a precedent being set for artists taking down his videos. So instead of doing the normal thing and simply asking permission (which would take time to obtain which works against Jeremy's uploading schedule), Jer might just forgo fanart entirely.
Oh yeah the "dont dogpile him" is from the keemstar school of "definitely dogpile him"It won't surprise me if he wins in court, I just believe Jeremy's response video only served to rally his troops, and if it is shown in court, helps the artist more than himself. That, and it's a common courtesy to ask artists for permission to use their artwork in monetized videos, kinda like an unwritten rule. Even IAG did so with the exact same image involved in this takedown:
It doesn't surprise me why Jeremy doesn't ask though. He operates by pumping out 4-6 videos daily as things are happening, and he can't afford to waste precious hours for permission on a two-second scene in a thirteen-minute video. Hell, Jeremy claims to have never known about the image's existence until now because his editor made the intro:
I'm convinced after today, Jeremy has given his editor a strict warning about fanart in intros. He might be willing to fight this specific case, but I can't imagine Jeremy wants to make a habit of this or develop a pattern of using artwork without permission, even if it's fair use.
well hes got all the money from that video, so maybe that was enough to fund it!I really want this to turn into the LOLsuit Hamburger Helper was sperging nonstop about, but I'm assuming the artist doesn't have the funds to fight.
The argument Jeremy uses is bullshit. Pounder like all YouTube idiots knows bum fuck all about fair use. So, time for me to do an autism and set this shit straight once and for all. Here is a point for point rebuttal.just watching it now.

The guys like a human cockroach that deserves no platform just another retard ralph.
I hope Jeremy is smart enough to archive his work when the 3rd strike is given.
When Pounder loses his channel he will suck up to some smaller YouTuber who has stars in their eyes and Jeremy will attach himself to their channel before claiming HE brought the fans in and demand the channel be handed over to his full control. Not sure if it would even matter for a channel like Jeremy's. His videos center around issues happening here and now, no one is going to re-watch a video about the box office of Captain Marvel or the Twitter feud between Keemstar and H3H3. Save for some of Jeremy's top performing videos, none of his content retains relevancy after the first week.
And let's face it, if Jeremy lose his YouTube channel, he's finished. He would likely never reclaim the almost 900k subscribers, and his would have statistics slightly higher than MisWestly. He utterly failed when he tried throwing his Twitch stream, only garnering 100 live viewers and a few pay-piggies gift-subbing left and right, and he's now having to beg people for likes and subscriptions. When Jeremy loses his channel, and I saw when because it's only a matter of time before he pisses off the wrong person, it will be a glorious day.

Which makes me think, I don’t think anyone actually likes Quarter Pounder, he’s more of a gateway into social commentary videos. My theory is people are desperate to hear social commentary videos that aren’t leftist biased and once they find a better channel they watch them instead and don’t bother unsubbing from the Quartering. Hence why the subs but almost no views.
Sort of like how No Bullshit is a gateway into right wing political videos but people leave once they find someone better to listen to than that retard.
