Now that you mention it, why DID the article make a point of saying he was a Trump supporter anyway? It's been months since the incident so maybe he shot the guy while saying "this is for Trump!" But I highly doubt it. Why should his political views matter here?

IIRC it was because of a group of Injuns protesting an oil pipeline, but it turned out the Injuns in question didn't even have the rights to that land (or something like that) and were blocking the pipeline to scam their own tribe and a few others as part of some tribal dispute.
Sure enough in typical Antifa fashion, the Injun chief who Antifa was protesting in solidarity with was a guy named Frank Alec, a convicted wife beater and felon. Never underestimate the ability of Antifa to find class acts to defend.
