The Dems are desperate, lmao. This is worse than Pokemon Go to the polls.

It looks like this isn't official material by Biden's team, but it's cringe regardless. Two people called Angela Gomez and Paul Fox are responsible for this mess. https://archive.is/AFpOz

Michigan, USA

Some stats:
"More than 2.39 million Michigan voters have requested absentee ballots so far, according to the Secretary of State’s office.
That’s more than 31% of the 7.7 million people registered to vote in Michigan and 35% of the state’s 6.7 million active voters.
...
More than 2.5 million people voted in the August primary election and 1.6 million of them cast absentee ballots."

The recent decision by a judge to order Michigan to accept late-arriving mail-in ballots for fourteen days after the election may be appealed, but I don't think I'll post articles while things are still up in the air.

Also, a follow-up on the mail-in ballot drop-toilet. It has apparently been removed, but the owner has not been charged with anything.

Personal anecdote: There's a good number of Biden signs in the south-central Michigan county where I live. They're outnumbered by the Trump signs, at least in the places I normally drive through, but they're here. At least one house has homemade signs including "Vets for Biden," and another house has a large Biden sign saying "Truth over lies."
So here, at any rate, the Democrats aren't as completely apathetic towards him as some posters are reporting in their areas.

I saw this earlier (with the perfect description of real life becoming a Boondocks episode) and I'm just stuck on one thing.

Should I be offended?

On one side, an ad like this just seems five steps away from promising a Popeye's family dinner on the level of pandering for the black vote.

On the other? This could just be blatantly obvious signaling that the only black vote that currently matters are the kind that would legitimately demand Beyonce as the first female president.

It's getting weirder and weirder to hear people bitch about stereotypes and then support the most ghetto trash behaviors in real life.

Trump said they're going to make a play for New York, specifically in reference to NYC since the city is having problems. Just Trump bluster? Keeping the DNC/MSM on their toes? Misdirection? Or is he serious?
I think he means that he's aware that NY has some good red numbers in it, but some areas (and I think he means the city) ruins it all. So, he's going to at least "dip some blood in that deep blue puddle." Who know? Maybe there is some underappreciated red in the city.

Also, Trump is announcing the SCOTUS nominee on Saturday, at 5 PM.

"We have signed legislation to make New York vote red forever. We begin bombing NYC in five minutes."

There is no other way NY votes red other than Coof making the city population spread around the country at high enough values to get NY state purple. And that could be worse as he needs other states to win.

Moderator Chris Wallace selects topics for first Trump-Biden presidential debate
Supreme Court battle, coronavirus pandemic, economy, unrest in cities are among the topics for first showdown

Supreme Court - Trump picks a woman, Biden can't decry rape
Coronavirus - Trump will talk about what he was able to do at a federal level, biden will blame him for deaths in certain states which Trump cannot control
Economy - Trump does a Degeneration X move and points to the hockey stick growth after recovery. Biden blames Trump for sending jobs to China. Everyone is confused.
Unrest - One Word: Portland

God this cannot be a better mix of topics if they tried.

Is it just me, or are there a lot of people going with the line, "If the GOP was confident they were going to win, why would they push this SCOTUS nomination so hard? See, even they think they'll lose!"

Why wouldn't they push it hard? It seems obvious to me: a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

Even if they don't win New York it can still be worthwhile. If the GOP can flip a couple House seats in the state I'm all about that.

Holy shit this is one of the most legitimately racist things I have ever seen.

I think with New York, it's to put some ground game to make New York go light blue for 2020 and maybe get some seats in the House for the red and purple upstate districts like @heyitsmike said and maybe lay the groundwork for Republicans to slowly flip New York to a purple state now that COVID-19 has kicked NYC in the balls.

With Pennsylvania, it's to keep that state in play now that it's going purple and for Virginia, there is probably enough anger at Northam and the NoVAcrats as well as BLM's tirades in Richmond to indicate it's not completely a lost cause just yet and Trump has a chance of flipping it. For now, I consider Virginia to be a light blue leaning on purple but only because of Northam's policies and the issues from COVID-19 and BLM and while it'll probably go to Biden, I think Trump has a lot more of a chance to flip Virginia than he does New York or Oregon.

At the very least, I think the GOP can get the 40% threshold in Virginia and maybe get a few extra seats in the House this year

Debate organizers reveal 6 topics for first Trump-Biden showdown (archive)

The Supreme Court vacancy, coronavirus and race and violence are among them.

Debate organizers have decided the six debate topics for next week’s showdown between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden.

According to a person familiar with the planning, the 90-minute debate will be divided into six 15-minute discussion areas. They include: Trump's and Biden’s records, the Supreme Court, the coronavirus pandemic, race and violence in cities, election integrity, and the economy.

The first debate is on Tuesday, Sept. 29 and will be moderated by Fox News anchor Chris Wallace.

Hopefully, Wallace doesn't go too neocon.
They really are gonna do debates, huh?

Well, atleast I'll have something to do aside from Serious Sam 4 and work.

Why is Kamala wearing a mask at her speech? She looks and sounds retarded. Plus her objectively best feature, her smile, is now useless. Also I've thought this for a while, but her mask just annoys me. Something about the shape. It's like a diaper for her face.

E: God she keeps playing with her mask to move it up every minute. It looks so stupid.

E2: I'm so bored already. It's just been corona-bashing *touch mask* Trump insult *moves mask up* muh obamacare *plays with mask*

E3: muh ballot fraud *pulls mask* remember black people fighting for rights? *mask pull* MUH RUSSIA *wiggles mask*

lmao the low energy is palpable. There must be nobody there, because this is just embarrassing with the two or three claps she gets at her emphasized points.

E4: ReStOrE tHe SoUl Of ThE nAtIoN!!!1!i!! *mask adjustment* reference to how grandkids will see this in the future—BITCH YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE KIDS WHAT THE FUCK *touches mask*

Then she leaves. Literally less than 20 minutes. Holy shit, looking over this again, it looks like I'm being reductive, but no. This was her entire speech, but without all the hand movements and extra words.

Final like/dislike tally after done speaking:
Fox: 157/1.7k
Kamala Harris: 237/128

And that's all the streams of her speech just now that I can find. Just...low energy and nothing new or substantive, that's all I really have to say. Didn't even bring up the SCOTUS. They must really not know how to adjust the campaign messaging from the top of the ticket to deal with that yet.
The mask is now a symbol of one's trust in Science(tm), and by extension resistance to Trump's war on "smart" people. No matter how stupid it looks or ineffective it is from where you stand, you can't not wear it and call yourself a Democrat politician.

They're not mad about the stereotypes, they're mad that people dislike those who live up to the stereotype. "Ghetto trash" is their culture, and stop imposing your racially-warped value system on their existence!

Honestly, even I think he will do better than expected, mostly because a lot of people are expecting him to go full Alzheimer's disease live on the debate stage. That's not likely due to all the drugs that he's probably on, but at the same time, the odds of him getting the better of Trump, or even getting a few good hits in on his own, are pretty unlikely in my opinion.
I remember back in 2012 some people were convinced Paul Ryan would demolish gaffemaster Biden with FACTS and LOGIC and were pretty disappointed, to say the least. Granted that was 2012 Biden versus Paul fucking Ryan but it's good that Trump doesn't seem to be taking this for granted.

The Democratic party is basically down to a single issue: Trump's mishandling of the COVID virus killed 200K Americans. That's all they have left.

That's why no matter what Trump does, from rallies to actual fucking peace agreements, CNN screams "BUT NO MASKS!"

I have far-lefty friends that are perfectly fine being under lockdown until a vaccine is not only found, but everyone gets it. Hell, they're already convincing themselves that they aren't under lockdown because the government allows them to go outside.

I was talking to an acquaintance in California, and he literally wrote me with a straight face that California isn't under lockdowns.

I pointed to the CDC stats that literally 1 in 1000 people under 49 that catch the virus actually die from it, and when I linked them to the CDC website they accused me of "repeating Fox News talking points."

TL;DR - If Biden has ANY chance of winning, it's COVID now.

Question: To what degree are white voters swayed by being represented?
I'm asking because some ITT think Trump is gonna pass over the long-standing Supreme Court favourite (Coney Barrett) for another pick he made in 2017 (Lagoa). Lagoa is a Cuban-American and this kind of representation would lock in Trump votes in Florida and Arizona. I agree with Florida, not so much with Arizona solely on the grounds that Mexicans already have a girl on the Supreme Court AND they don't seem to have much common cause with the Cubans.
What I want to know is how many voters will be swayed in the Rust Belt and Pennsylvania because Trump put a white woman on the court? She's not even from there, btw, but in an IDPOL world does picking a white person curry any electoral favours? We sure know it curries racial animous with the way Dems drum it up against Gorsuch and Kavanaugh.

Maybe this sounds Wignat-ish but Amy's not getting on the court at this rate unless there's a cohort of voters who would genuinely see a white woman getting put on the court and go ''wow, finally I feel represented in government'', and btw it would be a first. Female Supreme Court justices so far have been Irish---->Jewish-->Jewish->Mexican so she'd be able to slap 'first female WASP' on her parking spot. Will this influence voting patterns? Biden wants to stay ambiguous but Trump could get one of them in whether he wins or not. I'm fucking wrong, she's Catholic. GG Jews, and a heavy F for Protestants everywhere. Trump's putting a Catholic woman on the court no matter what. Gorsuch thinks he's being cute being an Episcopalian heretical. He was raised Catholic but even without him adding Barrett or Lagoa makes 6(6!) Catholics on the court.

Whites have sort of been the bland-default non-member of idpol for as long as I can remember, and were never approached or courted as an identity. We were supposed to be colorblind (or downright self-flaggetting). Can anyone tell if there's a change in that? Between going all in on anti-white rhetoric and the riots, I could see that changing, and that would spell major trouble for the Democrats. A white group in-bias to match other races, or even if white leftists going actually colorblind, would be something that could nuke the democratic party, both as an institution and as a movement.

The Dems are desperate, lmao. This is worse than Pokemon Go to the polls.
