Null lawsuit? What now?

From the front page:

Umm, I think this might be big news.

So I thought I would do a quick Google search just to see if my attempt at SEO in my earlier post about the audio recording being available on here came back. I almost didn't see it before I went to Page 2:

Anyway, head over to PACER, here is the summary, the doc is sealed but looks like he is trying to waive filing fees.

Here is the full title of proceedings:
Russell G. Greer v. Joshua Moon and Kiwi Farms
Case Number: 2:2020cv00647
Filed: September 16, 2020
Court: US District Court for the District of Utah
Presiding Judge: Tena Campbell
Nature of Suit: Copyright
Cause of Action: 17:0501
Jury Demanded By: None

I know @Null doesn't like being tagged, but I assume under circumstances he might like to know Russell Greer has filed a legal proceeding against him and Kiwi Farms for $5.3 million. Note that he filed in Utah! Mr. Skordas anyone???

Well that was an unexpected find! :story:

It's a shame that there's no deadline, because now it means the drooling morons of law twitter will just spam the court with their awful hot takes.

The court, like most people, will probably ignore all of them....but it's still a potential annoying distraction.

I think they'll disregard most of it anyways. Nick's might be looked at, though, if Sudduth has any ego.

So Nick's AC is about Chupp's disregard of the 2nd Amended Petition.
Ok.
If he submits it tomorrow, good.

It's on an actually relevant point of law (not that I expected Nick to submit gibberish or anything), and one that plaintiff's counsel didn't address in any particularly compelling way. It's one of many really ridiculous things Chupp did. I don't know what impact it will have but it would at the very least be amusing if the court addresses this specific point, which it might whether or not it formally accepts Nick's brief.

ETA: lmao Nick doesn't know who Queen of Pole is.

I was pretty disappointed with that document. It's not like the date the appeals were going to be heard on was sprung out at the last minute. Whether or not there's a deadline is pretty irrelevant if the court was going to consider the case on the 22nd and then spend three months writing their opinion who cares what is filed on the 23rd.
