The problem with that assertion is that there are people out there that actually believe such things like beauty being completely objective or people with Body Dimorphic Disorder believing their physical appearance is the deciding factor for their happiness. They aren't using clever euphemisms or exaggerations and try to make fun of people with these beliefs, nevermind in an interesting way. They are simply repeating the same mindless rhetoric we have seen a thousand times and are calling it satire so they don't have to take account for what they say.
