Not only is that just another example of corporations pretending they did something big by just changing a name, but they're also trampling all over Spider-man memers with the name change.

It's honestly a marketing gold mine. Change almost nothing except a simple re-branding while making your company look progressive and hip.

There was a few in Missouri
That I knew of around the very rural Vernon county. However that is history of days long since past.

Tamir was unfortunate, but going around with an accurate depiction of a firearm in a crime riddled area seems like it would invite trouble to me. Also, kid was 12. At 12 I knew not to do certain things. He thought he was Billy bad ass, probably was going to show off to his friends and the cops intercepted him. Unfortunate but understandable.

Not to mention there are examples where US soldiers shot at children in Iraq who also got toys that looked like real pistols. Fucking hell keep that shit away from children or at least watch over them when they play with that stuff

Wait, I thought black parents had "the talk" with their sons about police and their penchant for straight up murdering kids like them. Which makes it even more questionable as to why it was permitted. I can only assume that the mother was high off her ass or otherwise "unavoidably detained" from supervising her little miscreant altar boy.

Yeah, I was looking up sundown towns around where I grew up and when I saw the list I was like "well, they kind of still are unofficially". Someone mentioned it earlier in the thread, but the wealthy town of Greenwich, CT was a sundown town and they still don't tolerate any hooligans hanging around.

These are solid blue areas, but in parts of the north there is a very strong "NIMBY" attitude.
