U.S. Riots of May 2020 over George Floyd and others - ITT: a bunch of faggots butthurt about worthless internet stickers

All this stuff going on, youtube facebook twitter etc trying like crazy to censor the truth... anyone else worried that major internet sites, maybe the internet itself and other communication forms might go down? Like for longer than an hour? And all at the same time?

The People's Temple did an awful lot of good back in the day. It was integrated and helped the poor. Then something slowly went wrong...
I blame California.

Jim Jones was always kind of skeevy, but toward the end of his life he really started to lose his fucking mind. Some claim it was early onset dementia, others believe he was losing it because he ate speed and barbiturates like they were Skittles, but either way he ended up going off the deep end.

Some of these more secular movements are just fucking creepy anyway. Heaven's Gate especially, and the Moonies [I've actually met some of them] are pretty fucking weird too. People like to compare Mormons or the Amish to a cult, but they're salt of the Earth people compared to some of these pie-in-the-sky vaguely Jesus-based secular "churches".

Look up the Martyrmade podcast. It’s not California, Jim Jones was always insane. California was just the state where he went off the deep end.

He was a narcissist that always wished for "revolutionary suicide" in his name, he got off on the idea of persuading others to kill themselves at his behest. All that good stuff? No shit, that's what communists did. You think the communist party itself acted any different? Pfft. Doesn't make them the good guys.

It's a concept the left need to readopt.

It's curious how The People's Temple is always represented as a religious cult when in reality it is a communist cult.

Unfortunately.

They're the worst, most liberal types of Democrats that are mostly really just atheists or agnostics. They're just pretending that they're in a religion, often so they can dunk on religious Christians with their "superior tolerance" by comparison.

They're sociopaths in their personal capacities.

This. I have an uncle that's Unitarian. He's also a lefty, west coast nut who once spent a family funeral arguing about the cost of B2 bombers.

Edit: A streamer said what the plan was, if it wasn't obvious already.

Welp, I expect this to play out in the worst way possible for the Unitarians and for them to learn nothing. As has happened before in Kenosha.

When they start passing the collection plate to rebuild their little hippy-dippy crying place from the damage I expect all of you to laugh and say "lol no".

Apparently this is BLM created curriculum being pushed by teachers in New York (edit: it is not official however). I saw it fly past in HC chat, tried to download it all but got errors downloading 18 of the files, below exact error text I was presented with:

The remaining files are over 2gb in size so I'm hoping someone else snagged the full set before the permissions got fsked with. If nobody else has 'em I can upload what I got to Mega.

I immediately noticed the KQED public television logo front and center on some of these, blast from the past as a Cali escapee.

Edit: my dumb ass noticed this is not new as the archive of the tweet is 4 weeks old. I don't remember seeing this posted but I may have missed it.

Aren't Unitarians basically The People's Temple except they never kill themselves much to the chagrin of everyone else?
Unitarianism proper was a non-Trinitarian denomination (or sect) of Christianity. Universalism was a denomination of Christianity that believed in the universal reconciliation of mankind to God. They dwindled and became more liberal, then united to form Unitarian Universalism, which shed its last vestiges of Christianity and became its own thing. Now it's a small quasi-religion that tries to access the truths of religion by aping its forms. They do little readings and light candles, and promote left wing politics. They don't have the cultus or drive to do anything as impressive as the People's Temple.

I had a lot of respect for Unitarianism due to their famous members, like Thoreau and Emerson. But going to school in a heavily UU area with those seeking UU ordination...they're just SJWs who want a religious backdrop. Half of the UU ministers-to-be I've met are androgynes with fupas who treat Christianity like its a social movement. It's embarrassing.
