It's the commie way of justice. You don't arrest the offender you arrest the victim because the victim is the cause for the offender getting aggresive. Can confirm. Used to be one. Left over BLM bullshit. They Many are athiests, wiccans, etc. There is no real deity in the church, more a nebulous "sanctified spirit of community" Our congregation actually had a veiled jihadi who was pandered to in every possible way. Fun fact, UUs are the richest religion going, even more than Jews, in terms of per capita wealth. Not surprising since a huge part of UU membership is ethnically Jewish

With all the people that get arrested and cut loose with no bail or get bail-funded out, how many jurisdictions have actually dropped all the relevant charges? While I would like for these people to be kept off the street for further rioting, I like the idea of them arrogantly ignoring their court dates and getting pulled over randomly during daily errands or picked up at work on a bench warrant. When Ngo posts shit like "was previously arrested four times and released without bail" with the mugshots, they're just stacking charges for court dates that are likely still months out.

What's the appeal of being one? Just having a spiritual community to hang out with for those who aren't really religious?

Yeah mostly. Also they dosome good charity work (building schools, wells, etc)I took my kid there because they didn't believe any bullshit about original sin, etc. Imagine my shock when the lesbian wiccan started yapping about BLM and White Privilege from the pulpit. Left in a very public huff, collected my kids, and never went back.

TBH my main draw was singing in choir. THAT I miss. They probably miss having a bass, too, as they are a bunch of whinyvoiced soyfags.

Seems sensible the feel-goodnick religion would be populated by affluent people just looking for affirmation of their own righteousness.

Things are going well for them. They aren't interested in going to a place that tells them weekly how they fucked up and should work to be better. That they should base it all around helping the other people, who aren't them, to help them change to be better because they are not as perfect as them. They go to a very tolerant church that helps people, y'know.

And yes I do see the irony of me pointing out this as a fedora-lite atheist.
