Hi-Point isn't total ass, it will work reliably and costs about half as much as the Ruger. It also has the advantage that if you do have to defend yourself, you're never going to be that sorry to see it go. I'm not saying it's a good gun, but it's a sufficient gun that's inexpensive. Given that getting anything reliably right now is an issue, a sufficient gun in your hand is better than a good gun you can't get.

I remember laughing at the right wing for bringing guns at Capital Hall for being impatient during this lockdown. Now THIS is allowed, which is MORE destructive in the long term.

Pledging to help black communities economically is good PR and while it's typical political pandering, it's not going to hurt him. If anything, it could hurt BLM/Antifa and the MSM in the eyes of the suburbanites and black normies if they go full retard with the TDS and denounce him for it.
Keep in mind Trump knows he doesn't have to get the majority of black voters to go for him, he just has to get enough of them to stay home on Election Day and not vote for Biden. If he does get a few extra black votes and manages to break that 10% threshold, that's just icing on the cake.
